Well, All I can say is, that we had FUN..
CaptM is a delight to do this with.
We laughed and really did have a blast....
(I am gonna break this up into stops, so its not such a long post.)
First stop at Hot Dog Queen...
As Jim said, they did serve Lykes as their "standard" weenies..
(I really dont like those type..but was a good sport about it

)
She said that she boils them with some spices Then keeps them in the water, and then they put them on the flat top to finish them off....
I almost got a Kosher dog, and then changed my mind and got what they call the D.C. Special.
Diced cucumbers, tomatoes, choice of sweet or dill relish and slaw.
It wasnt bad, but the slaw was kinda runny and it was sure messy eating.
Afterwards, we found out after an in depth conversation, that she offers all sorts of dogs..
She has Nathans, Hebrew National and Sabretts.
She also offers a Gluten free dog and a vegetarian dog.
LOVED the N.E. buns!
That was a most pleasant surprise..
They also grill the buns on the flat top, which also was nice.
As Jim said, we split the all the way "psuedo footlong" and I liked the consistancy of the chili sauce, but it almost had a taco seasoning taste to it...
It wasnt until I cut it to split it, that I noticed it was 2 regular dogs.
They did have some interesting sides, but we wanted to concentrate on the main deal.
Here is the owner (blonde) and her help..
Nice nice people.
DC Dog and the Spicy Dog that Jim got..
(His looks so good with those jalapenos)
Jim digging into his Spicy Dog..
You can see my strawberry kool-aid in the pic also.
