Wow; I finally refound this thread!
Mama's Boy has cut back their hours. Now they close at 2:20 P. M. Monday through Wednesday and don't reopen; they also do so Thursday through Saturday, but reopen at 4:00 P. M. They'll probably go back to serving evenings weeklong when it warms up.
I haven't eaten there in awhile and need to go back... maybe Thursday, if I feel well enough and it's reasonably warm... I've been a trifle under the weather.

P. S. Now we have to invent our own Hog Pickle: take a big ol' dill pickle, hollow it out a bit, deep fry it, then pile BBQ and sauce on it. Now THAT might make for some interesting eating. -- Hold the chocolate syrup. And pass the tanning butter.

anyone remember sloppy joes at myrtle beach they were open 24 hours and besides a good hotsodgs had a long list of items. My cousin used to sing thier jingle . had a line in there about dozin' but never closing / also the ball and cue had very good hot dogs / side note on the Hotdog Queen is thier burgers are hand formed and they offer them packed with garlic yummmy . the queen uses the same recipe as a famous hot dog joint in north carolina accroding to the owners brother. Sams is still good / but they did charge me 50 cents to put my footlong in a paper bag to go , they did'nt even wrap it / just slid it into the bag . I do like the ocean burger at sams. One item I have not tried at sam's is scrambled eggs and brain's

in the grand mall on the south end of Myrtle beach in the food court is or was a place called the rochester ny store / they carried both red and white hotdogs/ no nitrates in the white hots , and they taste great / had 2 for lunch today.

Roossy's power supply for her laptop took a dump. (And this is a new one). She reports that she'll be back by Friday hopefully (Depending on the UPS man).

I am sorry to have to announce that the M.B. trip is off. The littlest chili person (my daughter Helena) has whatever this thing that is going around (it's a tummy issue) and we cannot chance the trip. I am right bummed that we are not going to meet againb, Roos, but I am sure our paths will cross at some juncture. Have a great weekend and great hot dogs as well.

I've been living in Myrtle Beach for 20 years now and have tried hotdogs at about everyplace you can think of. But as far as I'm concerned there are only two good dogs around here. First is 2nd Ave. Pier and their dogs are awesome! A bunch of us that loves hotdogs here that I know all agree on that one.

Believe it or not, our other favorite dog is the Ft. Long Coney from Sonic Burger. And there are several of those places so getting a decent hotdog is not to far away anywhere you are.

Forget Sam's dogs. Nothing special in MO.

The hotdog cart mentioned in this thread in Murrells Inlet is not bad either. But he does get his chili and slaw from Sam's Club.

Just thought I'd mention Hot Diggity Dogs on Main St. in North Myrtle Beach. Sabretts with all the toppings. Heading down for a golf outing the end of March and looking forward to trying all your suggestions from the Myrtle Beach hot Dog tour. Also, planning on stopping at Paul's Hot Dog's in Rocky Point, NC on the way down. Mild pork dog with a killer homemade relish.

Dont waste your time at Pauls Place.I know you have probaly heard how great they are and they used to be Twenty years ago, now they are nothing special at all and their relish topping will run thru you faster than Visine.

Found another great place for "dogs"! And believe it or not, it's at a fast food chicken place. Maryland Fried Chicken in Little River (near the swing bridge) has great footlongs! Fresh chili and homemade slaw! Yumm!! A friend treated me to them and I must say, I've been back twice already. They grill the buns and pile on the fixes!!!
