URGENT propane question

My wife just called. We're having people over for a bbq tonight (first one of the summer) and she realized the propane tank on the grill is empty.
So... can I bring home one of the 30 lb. tanks from my trailer, hook it to the grill, and use it? Or am I likely to blow myself and half the neighborhood to smithereens that way?

Thanks! Ad it turned out, the tank wasn't empty (she was reading it wrong) but at least now I know I can do that if I need to

Plus now you know in a pinch you can get your home tank on your trailer too.
