San Francisco - Joe's Special "Some say this famous San Francisco specialty was devised by a San Francisco chef as a variation on the Italian frittata. Others insist it was created as an after-hours snack by dance-band musicians of the 1920's. A third theory attributes the dish to miners who frequented the city's riotous Barbary Coast district in the 1850's."
    Also Sourdough & Ghirardelli Chocolate.
    Dallas - A Food Wasteland!
Of over 1,500 incredible local eats places from around the country available under the "Search Local Eats' link on the RF home page, there's not one place in Dallas listed! San Francisco has 15 and if you add Oakland/Berkley, it's 25!

I am going with Dim Sum or if you prefer Yum Cha. Also old school would say anything served at Sam's Grill or Tadich Grill. Others say a Burger at Reds or Any Breakfast at Dotties in the Tenderloin.

out of two, San Fransisco seem to be the city with a richer food variety.

    San Francisco , Food:
San Francisco is renowned for its restaurants. "The City" as it is called by locals has some of the best Asian and Californian Cuisine around. It also has large variety of other kinds of ethnic food.

    Dallas , Food:
Dallas has more than enough restaurants to sate any craving.
Beyond the ubiquitous barbecue pits, this city is awash with world-class dining establishments serving every cuisine from Mediterranean to French to Cuban.
But barbecue is primary food in Dallas.
