Anyone know if Domilasi's (I'm sure I've butchered that!) is still in business? I remember taking the city bus out to this place many years ago and getting their Shrimp Po Boy for lunch. Then I walked back to the main road and took the bus back into the Quarter, to my hotel.

The lunch was a great experience. You got to really see how the locals lived and ate. I had to walk through all these neighborhoods to get to the place. The bus lleaves you off on a main drag. You could barey see in that restaurant. But, the sandwich was good. On the bus trip back, we went past these boatyards on the right and on the left? Probably the worst slums I have ever seen and I've seen plenty in my lifetime. It was unbelievable. Today, I can only imagine what that poor town looks like outside the Quarter. It's really too bad.

Unfortunately, I won't be. Uglesich's is one of my all-time very favorite Roadfood places.

If you go, can you report back how it went?

The place is only open for two hours, so I am guessing they won't be serving food.
