Went to school with Ora Love and Fern Moss. My mother in law's father was Hyman Popper. Let us not forget the famous NASCAR racer, Dick Trickle, a strong competitor in the Busch series.

While this is not an unfortunate name, it is funny. A very popular t-shirt at political meetings I used to attend was the shirt from Dyke college in Cleveland, Ohio.

At my previous job a mailing was sent to a gentleman with a surname of "Baldassari" but due to space limitations the last 3 letters got left off. The chief accountant came down to the IT department looking for blood because she was *convinced* it was a deliberate act. Which it wasn't. Really. Honest. 20 years later it still makes me laugh. I went to high school with a girl whose name was Joyce Hood, she had a sister named Robin. A late friend who lived on Briarcliff Road in Atlanta was named Dick Peterson. Copper PS I have never laughed so hard as I have this morning reading the threads here on Roadfood! Thanks!

If a game lasts more than four hours at Putz Field, do they have to notify the team doctor?

I saw this sign in Goldsboro, NC. I had to turn around and snap a photo. There are so many possible unfortunate combinations between these two cities, I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole. Oops. I said "pole." Glenn

I was employed, many years ago, by Morehead State University in Kentucky. We had a written directive that all comments about the name of the school was to be phrased as Morehead State...NOT Morehead ! I will not forget the cheer done by the BSU cheerleaders during their annual visit to MSU by Ball State University. Shaking their PomPoms vigorously, chanting MOREHEAD....BALL STATE over and over ! THE CROWD WAS REALLY INTO SCREAMING THAT CHEER ALL EVENING ! I never could figure out WHY !!!
