My Uncle Jack was the asst-pro at the Sands Point Golf and Polo Club.  He was a great golfer.  He took my Mother, brother and I to the Polo Grounds in Old Westbury--maybe called Meadowbrook for the match.  America vs Argentina.  Hitchcock not only was the star, but he shuck my hand.

Well, if you're going with quiche, I'll take a lobster or a crab quiche. My wife made the most wonderful lobster and crab quiches.

I'll take eastern effete over drunken louts wearing baseball caps backwards while swilling beer and stuffing brats down their throats.

I do prefer beer at a tailgate but I do not understand the people who do this.  Especially if they are going to the game.  They have to spend most of the game in line at the bathroom.

Most lots have Porta-Potties. Personally, I bring along a portable disposible urnal from Travel John! Just hide between car doors and do your thing!

Don't worry about it. No one pays any attention to me -- except for DocUpchuck, of course.

I'll take eastern effete over drunken louts wearing baseball caps backwards while swilling beer and stuffing brats down their throats.

I've been to recent Tailgates where candelabra's and fine linens were the order of the day set up on tables next to a $500,000 RV! At Penn State. Roar Lions, Roar!

Roar Lion Roar is the fight song of Columbia University.

When the bold teams of old wore the blue and white,
Deeds of fame made their name here at old Columbia,
Nowadays, we can praise fighting teams again,
Hear the Lion roar his pride,
                      While the men of Morningside,
Follow the blue and white to victory!

                      Roar, Lion, Roar
And wake the echoes of the Hudson Valley
                      Fight on to victory evermore
                      While the sons of Knickerbocker
                      Rally 'round Columbia, Columbia!
                      Shouting her name forever
                      Roar, Lion, Roar
For Alma Mater on the Hudson shore!

                      "Stand Up and Cheer"

                      Stand up and cheer,
Stand up and cheer for old Columbia!
                      For today we raise
The Blue and White above the rest!
                      Our boys are fighting
And they are bound to win the fray
We've got the team! We've got the steam!
For this is old Columbia's day!

at Penn State, the lyrics, Road, Lions, Roar, is part of the Fight Song, "Fight On, State."

Fight on State, Fight on State
                      Strike your gait and win.
                      Victory we predict for thee,
We're ever true to you, dear old White and Blue.
                      Onward, State, Onward, State,
                      Roar, Lions, Roar!
We'll hit that line, roll up the score,
                      Fight on to victory evermore,
Fight on, on on, on, on,
                      Fight on, Penn State!

I never realized that Penn State and Oklahoma had something in common. Oklahoma stole Yale's Boola Boola for its Boomer Sooner. Considering that Sooner refers to people who broke the law, I'm less inclined to be surprised by that theft than I am of Penn State's crime.
