The Nebraska Chain called Runza...don't sound so good...but they are...In Fort Collins, Co there was a chicken wing place called Cluck-U right across the street from the CSU campus...We have an Indian place in Chicago called Mysore Woodlands and another one called Maboob...at a restaurant in Laramie, Wyoming they had a menu item called "Junk Chicken". It was no joke...I am sure they were just clueless and meant "Jerk Chicken". Regardless, I never ordered it.

There used to be a place in Sheridan, Wyoming called Ae Suk. And we once ate in a diner that chose to call itself Squat 'n' Gobble.

There is a Chinese takeaway in New Orleans with a picture of a small
Oriental on roller skates bearing a tray of Chinese food boxes. The name of
                the place? "Takee Outee"

Well, at least that's more inviting than "Gobble & Squat" would be.

There's a Chinese restaurant in New York called Big Wong. I don't even want to know how the chef stirs the soup.

This is an actual proper name. Years ago I worked in a video store and had an Asian man sign up for a membership. Lo and behold his name was Phuck Yu. Needless to say, I could only bring myself to call him "Mr. Yu".

In Aurora, Ill there is a really good Mexican place that is TiaWuanna's, has a horrible Hooter's style logo, shares a roof with a Brown's Chicken but has a for real chef and makes some really great food! Seafood items are the specialty but everything is very good and presented nicely, not glop that is typical of the Mexican places in this area.

On Dundas Street in Toronto there's Som Porn Vietnamese Restaurant, which is located next to an adult video store. Across town, on Broadview Avenue, there's Ka Ka Lucky Seafood BarBQue Restaurant, where you can order several "assorted meat" dishes.

Pig-N-Whistle Barbecue Restaurant in Memphis, TN

Note the whistle. I know nothing of the history, but the store has been in Memphis forever, though at varying locations.

Not to be left out here, Plattsburgh NY used to have a hot dog stand called "Toot 'N Tellum".

There also used to be a place in Rouses Point NY which went by "Betty's Chicken Galore".

While not directly roadfood related... The nearby hamlets of Ausable Forks and Clintonville (NY) seemed to have a number of folks with some unusual names. For example, Mrs. Ford whose given name was Iona. Then there were the Pigg sisters Ima Ada and Rhoda.

                                                      With apologies to all!!

I'm still trying to figure this one out, it was a fast food place in Milford called:
                                                          The Purple Bee

Needless to say it NEVER had any customers.
