Uploading Photos

For those of you who subscribe to the Roadfood Insider The Forums now supports the uploading of photos. Once you are logged in and visiting the forums you should see a link called "Upload Photos" at the top of the screen.

For the time being, you can upload an unlimited number of JPG type photos (for the non-techies out there, this is the file type that digital cameras create). There is even a place that displays the forum code you need to copy and paste so you can share these images with everyone.

I hope this creates additional value and makes Roadfood.com an even better experience.

I am one of those non techies you are discussing. When it indicates what kind of file and other info, please indicate what that means. I apologize but when i take a digital pic, that is about all I know. Please give some additional instruction.

Is this feature ONLY for insiders---or can photos be directly uploaded to the forums by anyone now?

This is only for the subscribers of the Roadfood Insider, and Paul, you should have no problem uploading the photos from your digital camera.

OK, My pre-surgery jitters have made me try to do this to keep me sane. Here are a couple of Bluebirds in a hanging birdhouse on my front porch, shot thru the window where I sit at my computer. This is a test of the process. OK it works, but I had to delete the image insert icon from the auto-loader and add the one that is on the reply to the post form.

There is no limit for the upload. The server will automatically resize the image and compress it so it doesn't take up too much space.

Al, I looked at the servers error log and nothing came up. The error must be on your side.

OK Here's my last test. A Photo 260kb. It seems to load ok . I can't explain my error messages. If this works I will clear the tests off shortly.
