Our local paper, the Worcester Telegram And Gazette (a NY Times paper)released thousands of customer credit card numbers last week by mistake. To their credit, they are reporting the issue. They worked with credit card companies early on, and so far there are no known fraudulent charges.

BT--Thanks for the heads-up! While I never use debit cards, I do occasionally buy something at Office Max with a credit card. I have not noticed any fraudulent activity yet, but I will keep my eyes open, as a result of your warning.
