What kind of knuckleheads are running the radio business nowadays? Being in a radio-related business, I see moronic decisions more and more everyday. I guess it could be argued that it is a smart decision to go back to oldies. I think they will find it is much easier to break something than to put it back together again.

Ironically WCBS-AM is celebrating 40 years as all news this month.

I listened on line for a while and they seemed newly very stuck on the modern oldies ... DC5/REM not a good mix.

Greg is right, their web broadcasts have too many modern oldies. IMHO music started going downhill big time in the very early 70's.

Actually, I was listening live to their webcasts, that is what they are broadcasting now.

Are any of the former on-air jocks back, too? Many of the WCBS-FM oldies disc jockeys were AM guys on WMCA (the Good Guys!) and WABC in the 60's. They were knowledgeable and some real characters. I'm sure Cousin Brucie can get another 10 years on the air; I mean, he's only 105 years old, right?
