WSM Smoke Day IV - May 24

Party at my place. I expect to round-up the usual suspects for this one. Buddy Roadhouse knows the drill.

Details will be posted later, but here is a small sample.

Roadfooders, please RSVP.

Did you made those BB ribs? BEAUTIFUL! Did you pre-cook the ribs and just finish them off on the outdoor BBQ? Or, did you slow cook them from the get go? How many hours? In either case, looks like oyu were very patient.

Thank you. I cooked them low & slow on my smoker, somewhere between 4 to 5 hours.

Hot Diggity! We are scheduled to be in Milwaukee doing demos that day. You can count on Dad and I to be there. We had a fantastic time last year.

Baah Ben, that is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to JRPfeff's Barbecue acumen. He serves up an amazing spread that includes those ribs along with brisket, pulled pork, smoked sausage, and chicken. Then of course there is the myriad array of side dishes; and not to forget Jim's lovely wife Bobbi is the dessert queen. Sweets so good you're almost tempted to start with them before diving into the 'Que.

    I said "almost"...

Thanks for the invite Jim. We'll see you on the 24th!

    Buddy

P.S. Let us know what we can bring (as if I didn't already know).

    Only one month away.

May 24 at my place. Food at 5:00. Music at 7:00.

    2008 Features:

More Food. My teammate from the White Men Can't Smoke BBQ Team will be cooking with me. My bill of fare includes beef brisket, pork butt & picnic, baby back ribs, spare ribs, smoked sausage, chicken, and turkey. I don't know what he is cooking.

New Jello Shot Varieties. Mrs. P is going to try to one-up her Mojito, Margarita, Pina Colada and Root Beer Float Jello shots.

Better Organization. We promise not to forget to put out the black bean and corn salad this time.

More People. Word is getting out among friends and neighbors. Not to mention that the SE Wisconsin/Northern Illinois Roadfood.com Touring Eating Team is coming.

Environmentally Conscious. Large volumes of ethanol (ethyl alcohol) are expected to be consumed.

Build Your Own Dessert. Mrs. P is giving this a try for 2008 with tarts and shortcakes.

Romance. Will we have guests meet and become engaged within 6 months again?

Live Music. My friend Tom is bringing his band over to entertain. IX Lives is scheduled to play an unplugged set, which is still electric, but doesn't include their huge sound system. They'll feature more Zeppelin, Floyd and Petty. A special unannounced opening act, too.

RSVP. By email or in comments.
