I wouldn't mind either WaWa or Sheetz to expand into Baltimore to Harrisburg corridor. Rutter's blows chunks. A new Sheetz opened in York, but that's it. The rest is Rutter's and Turkey Hill. I love Turkey Hill Diet Iced Green Tea, but their convenience stores are weak.

Also, WaWa or Sheetz should hit the I-81 corridor north of Harrisburg to Wilkes-Barre. There's nothing inbetween, except the Dutch Kitchen in Frackville.

I don't think it is right off I-81 but recall a Sheetz by the airport in Hazelton, PA. I think we drove a short distance from the exit.

Go a little further into NJ and get a real 'Hoagie' or as we call Sub. Wawa is a convience store and the food is marginal at best, a real Sub shop willm ake a larger, fresher, better sandwich for you.

Yeah, I think I found that once as well. But, on my last trip through there, I got off the West Hazelton exit and drove a couple miles and didn't see it -so I was thinking I was wrong about where that Sheetz is located. There's no Sheetz advertisement on any of the signs approaching those exits either, which makes it harder.

Whether you call it a hoagie or a sub depends on what part of New Jersey you are from. In south jersey it is a hoagie and north jersey it is a sub. You are right though, you can find better subs at a local sub shop, but for a convenience store I'd say wawa is definitely one of the better places. heritages subs are pretty good too

When I'm cruising at ~80 MPH down the Interstate, I'm not likely going to go "a little further into NJ" to search for a mom and pop subs shop unless I know exactly where it is located. Don't get me wrong, I like those trips where I have the time to search for the hidden gems, but a lot of times, unless I know exactly where to go, I'm not getting off the Interstate on a wild goose chase looking for a real NJ sub shop.

The WaWa's in Maryland show Hoagies on the menu, but I would bet that most people here order it up as a sub.
