Watch Out Tuesday

http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/n/a/2006/06/04/national/a092124D62.DTL

And, of course, it's primary election day here in CA. In order to avoid controversy, I'll leave it for you to decide what that means about the winners.

My recent contact with the Mystery number was in S W Colorado where we traveled a couple of hundred miles on U S Highway 491. This road was formerly designated U S Highway 666 but apparently the powers that be decided to alter the label to prevent unusual 'Happenings' along that stretch of road.
We also note that the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad changed the numbers of Locomotive 666 to that of an engine destroyed in an accident (number forgotten at this time). It seemed that several crewmen would choose not to show up for work when they learned that the the power unit they would be "driving" was the one they called "El Diablo".
Here is the original Locomotive in the late 90's still in it's original numbers and Santa Fe paint scheme (several years after the merger of the Burlington Northern and the Santa Fe RR's).

Not being a student of Mystic Numbers, I'm not sure if it warrented all the attention given it??
But then again, It never hurts to insure one's safety with a number change or two.

My quarterly life insurance payment is $666.06. Does that seem like a bad sign to anyone?

A common "ring-up" on the register at work is $16.66. A few people have looked at me funny when I tell them what they owe.

My cat and I are celebrating tomorrow. Not only do I suspect she is a "familiar" of Satan, but 666 is the "mark of the beast" and she is undoubtedly a beast. So extra Trader Joe's "Tuna For Cats" all around!

Big deal. All the Zip Codes here in Topeka and Shawnee County, Kansas, start with 666. My zip at home is 66606 and at work is 66612. Since this is the state capitol, that includes all State Government offices.

Many phone numbers in Hollywood have a 666 prefix. The heavy metal rockers always try to get those numbers.

On a related topic, who is your favorite movie Satan?

Mine is Paul Williams in the Phantom of the Paradise.

Mine is David Warner, who played the "Evil Genius" in Time Bandits.

    He had some great lines...

Evil: God isn't interested in technology. He cares nothing for the microchip or the silicon revolution. Look how he spends his time, forty-three species of parrots! Nipples for men!

    Robert: Slugs.

Evil: Slugs! HE created slugs! They can't hear. They can't speak. They can't operate machinery. Are we not in the hands of a lunatic?

I am just now re-reading the Clive Cussler Dirk Pitt novel VAHALLA RISING, wherein the evil empire is named after that 3 headed hound "Cerberus" !

Hmmmm Unusual timing. The dogs are playing tag and 'keep away' with the corpse of a large Mole they caught earlier this morning.

    Evidence--

Yeah, this day has 'unusual behaviors' written all over it !

Al, I have read every novel written by Clive Cussler. I emailed him and I got back an original page from his manuscript.

It is dated on the letter June of 1994. I have had the envelope, edited manuscript and his handwritten personal letter framed.

He is a very good story teller.

    STYX!
One of my favorite bands, thanks mbrookes and scbuzz.

I would venture to timidly point out that Roadfood aint no Trash site. Notta lotta heads up the ole rectum round here.

They got the latest security (trend-micro, I'm suspecting) and an operating systems to beat the dang band (the name eludes me, is it Firefox [hell, no thats a browser], nope, what the heck is it?), and the Mods can see yer IP addy even iffen you aint logged on, I'm willin to bet my thumb on it, and can probably moniter yer post drafts iffen they had the time or inclination. I doubt that they would, they is slavin' for free, 'member?

How the heck they boot you off.....by yer screen name?
    Bwa-hahahahhahahahahahahahahhahahah
    Its yer IP !!!!!!!!

I know a merest tidbit 'bout proxies and how to get back in after being booted....., but heck everyone would know me when I came back to call. Thass why I emailed Sunny-D7, and he gave me a second chance .

I knew I could sneak in, but I couldn't be meself. And it just aint NO FUN to pretend to be someone you aint.

No that is not Danny DeVito trying to escape from McDuff's mouth.

Duff caught it and turned it over to Demi for testing, and evaluation. Then they decided to put the nasty little critter into the Doggie Olympics in the 'Tug-o-War'...with the Mole being the 'Tuggee'. When last seem a crow had laid claim to the remains of the Mole and was enjoying a 'Golden Corral' type of Mole-Buffet!

Mine is definitely Peter Cook in 'Bedazzled'. At the end of the movie, he fails to get Wimpy Burger fry-cook Dudley Moore's soul. God laughs contemptuously, and Cook angrily rants "All right, you great git, you've asked for it. I'll cover the world in Tastee-Freez and Wimpy Burgers. I'll fill it with concrete runways, motorways, aircraft, television, automobiles, advertising, plastic flowers, frozen food and supersonic bangs. I'll make it so noisy and disgusting that even you'll be ashamed of yourself!" Darned if he didn't follow through...
