Waxed juice sticks

Do anyone remember the waxed juice sticks? You use to bite or rip the top off and drink the juice out. I think that it came in many flavors, I'm not quite sure because it has been a long time ago. Are still around today?

Cracker Barrell carries them and many other retro style candies in their gift shops, like the dots on a strip of paper, SkyBars and MaryJanes.

Yes, I do remember them, but I have to tell you that the liquid inside these things is about as far removed from "juice" as anything could be. Since they are obviously designed to appeal to the non-sophisticated tastes of children, the liquid inside these things is overly sweetened, artificially colored, artificially flavored water. The only advantage that this concoction has is that it will not spoil, unlike fruit juice.

I never bit the tops of the Nik-L-Nip bottles. I'd put the whole thing in my mouth and chew out the liquid. It lasted longer that way.
