Weekend in downtown Cleveland

OK, I've searched a few threads but thought I'd just ask anew ... Will be in Cleveland on Columbus Day weekend, Friday and Saturday nights, staying downtown, primarily to visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Slyman's is closed on weekends, and while I'd love to try Sokolowski's, I'll be with a group (wife, 7-year-old daughter, nephews age 17 and 20) that most likely won't be hip to trying Polish food or venturing too far away. I will, however, insist on stopping at Tony Packo's in Toledo en route there or home (or both). I'm open to any and all suggestions ... thanks ...

Sounds like you might be a good customer for Tommys. Great milkshakes and burgers with some interesting non burger and vegetarian meals too.

Chinato has a wide assortment of Italian & I recommend their version of onion soup. Flannery's Pub serves a better than average assortmen of Irish Pub grub. Both are an easy walk from anywhere downtown. If possible, avoid eating in the Hall itself. http://chinatocleveland.com/ http://www.flannerys.com/
