Weekend! Fri, 04/27/07 10:56 AM (permalink)
have a great weekend everybody! I'm off to my first camping weekend of the year! A four person excursion to the foothills of MD (me, my buddy and our wives). ya'll be good. my buddy is handling dinners, I'm doing B'fasts and lunch. B'fast tomorrow morning will be scrambled eggs, poached salmon and grilled asparagus. I'm heading to Costco to get inspiration for Sunday breakfast. Lunch tomorrow will either be submarine sandwich or speidies.

One of the funny parts is that my friend and I are both the cooks in our homes. The girls love it when we get together and cook for them. We love it too, because we make them clean

see you Monday.

Have a great weekend! I'll start camping in 2 weeks and I can't wait. We went once in March when it ended up being really warm. 60+ degrees in the sun - yet there was still snow on the ground! You are making a fancier meal for breakfast than I'd have for dinner - but it sounds wonderful.

    Keep cooking!

I don't know if we camp. We tour and take the bed, kitchen and bath with us in a camper van. But so far all our dinners have been cooked outside. Tomorrow we head out for a state park in Iowa but will have dinner at the Town House Supper Club in Wellsburg.

My wife and I used to do a lot of winter camping. Sometimes we'd take off on cross-country skis with packs for a week at a time. Back in the early '80s we made a two week ski trip into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. Wolves, bears, ice fishing -- that was a blast.

Just did mine last weekend in Arkansas. Made me realize I need to do more of that kind of thing.

Have fun, Scorereader! Let us know how it goes. (pics appreciated.)

Have fun camping! There's no place like God's great outdoors! I, too, like yourself and your buddy, do all the cooking for my wife and myself! I enjoy it, she hates it, and I do it better- works out perfectly!

Tiki, she was magnificent. And smart, too. She always said kissing a man without a moustache is like eating an egg without salt.

Mr. Hoffman- your wife sounds like one of only a very, very few worthy of your love, and visa-versa! My wife and I have been married for going on 16 years, almost all of which I've had a moustache. The only times she's complained (About facial hair) have been the few times- maybe once or twice, when I temporarily shaved my moustache!
