TTM-
I don't know if I ever even asked you.....  How was the rest of the ribs?  Any additional zoo photos would be great.

Believe it or not, I think the ribs were a little better the next day. I reheated them in foil in the oven, but it soaked off some of that sauce. There was just too much sauce for my liking - which is probably less a factor of liking or not liking the sauce as much as it is not liking the messy.

I'll see what I can do for zoo photos, too.

BB:  Your giraffe pics remind me of several years ago when I was at the DFW airport and I had about six hours to kill before my flight.  At that time, there was a drive through Africa zoo just south of the DFW airport.  I paid admission and they gave me a bucket full of food (actually I paid for it) and I started driving through the zoo.  The animals were very use to being fed and since this was mid week, they did not have hardly any traffic at all.  I fed most of the animals and when I got to the giraffe's I barely had any left.  As you can see by the pic you took, they have a very large and long tongue.  There was not much left and the giraffe because apparently very agitated and began sticking his huge head in the window of the car.  When he or she realized there was nothing left in the three gallon bucket, it bit the mirrow of my rental almost all the way off.

When I turned the car back into Hertz, they were very curious about the mirror.  I told them the story and they did not believe me until they saw the teeth marks in the plastic and mirror.  What an experience.  No charge as they indicated that they thought they had seen everything and that was the #1 sight.

I usually don't mind messy, but that was beyond messy and I didn't want to be covered with sauce, going through security at the airport.  Not that it hasn't happened before.

        Paul-
Great story!  Is that zoo near DFW still there?

BB:  True story and I have no idea if it is still there.  It was SE of the airport about 5-6 miles.  It was about 20 years ago.  After Hertz got over it, they had a blast and it collected a crowd.  They took pics and indicated that they were sending it to Hertz for some kind of prize.  Perhaps for the best BS story a customer had ever told .  It was the truth though because the teeth marks told the story.

Ok, I can go so many places with this one but I wouldn't know where to start!

Seems like you scored a touchdown with your weekend. I've always wanted to hit Whitey's- perhaps some day!
