Have'nt seen it around here in my area.We have the sandwiches called Fresetta on the ciabatta bread here.Different parts of the country often serve as test markets, which might be the case here.

I haven't had it but slaw/onions/hot sauce is almost as good as bacon. You can put them on any meat and it is going to taste good.

I'd try it if they had it in my area. And I'll be the first one to say, kindly, that this probably belongs in Fast Food. Okay? don't need to beat it to death.

Carolina Burger? We just got the Wendy Melt here in Florida, and the 99c chicken sandwich has been around since July...

I ran past a Wendy's today and stopped in to try the Carolina Burger. It's the square big burger, like in a Big Bacon Classic, with some kind of red mystery sauce (presumably bbq sauce; the Kroger's store brand is better), commercial-grade heavy-mayo/heavy-onion slaw, and a regular hamburger bun. I will not be ordering it again. But I'm here in the Carolinas, and the guy in line behind me ordered one. . . .

The mystery red sauce might have been chili -- it truly was hard to tell. Not that it made much difference.

Been advertised since I got here in March.. I havent tried one yet, cuz I am sure I will be disappointed. Wendys has gone downhill in the last year, and I just cant make myself go there anymore. I see the ads all the time, and they LOOK so appealing.. BUT! I would rather take some cole slaw to my work and make myself one there.

I have also tried the Carolina Burger - once was more than enough for me. Did not like the sauce. The whole burger was sloppy and messy. YUK!

I used to remember when a sloppy burger was GOOD (not necessarily WOFH, though...).

It must be being tasted in only certain US regions, I just ate at Wendy's yesterday for lunch, and there was no "Carolina" burger on the menu here (CA). It doesn't really sound like I'm missing much.

Wendy's just closed all the restaurants around the St Louis metropolitan area, including Illinois. Workers were given no advance notice and about 1,000 people in St Louis are without a job. Something about going bankrupt or something.....is this not happening anywhere else?

The local franchisee of Wendy's has went broke, and was ordered by Wendy's to stop operating the resturants immediately as Wendy's. Apparantely, most of the resturants will likely reopen soon under a bankurupcy trustee, while a buyer is sought.

My sentiments exactly. Sauce and slaw sucked IMHO. Wont be trying another one. Will stick with the spicy chx sandwich. Thats all I ever get.... Sorry I tried that Carolina special.

The Carolina burger comes and goes here. I tried it a few years ago but was not impressed. I agree with V960. The chili just wasn't that good.

Anything "Carolina" should have yellow mustard, chili, chopped onions and creamy coleslaw on it. I doubt that they'd have the nerve to offer it in California, or anywhere too far from the Carolinas.
