Very nice picture and teaser.  We are eagerly awaiting details about the food.  I imagine you all had a great time.  Hope to see all of you here at the Buffalo meet in September.

Thanks to Greg who planned this outing (on my suggestion a year ago!) and offered his gorgeous condo, really it is spectacular, for pit stops and refreshments.  He is a class act!
I am not a photo taker, but I can tell you we had a great time. Friday night Steve and I met Billyboy and Wandering Jew and had a first class Yankee meal at durgin park. It was very good food, I must say. and the best was watching Bill enjoy his first Indian Pudding! Yesterday all the stops were delicious and I look forward to the others submitting their photos. It was great to meet Ellen finally and Tin TinCT.  What a great group of food lovers we are!

Well, me and my "baby smooth skin" thanks the Travelin Man for instigating this one!

I had a great time yesterday and Saturday evening...I enjoyed meeting some new folks including  Tin Tin CT and seeing some old friends...The weather held up much better than I expected and it was only a short hour and forty minutes back home to Rhode Island.

Bill Voss, will be happy to know that I went to a "regionally inappropriate" bbq restaurant in Massachusetts and I didn't melt or explode!

I was also sorry you could'nt be with us, Miami Don.... I hope it's nothing serious.. (maybe just a 24 hour flu ?)
it was a shame you made it all the way up to Westchester county, NY, but were too ill to do the Massachusetts part.
 
I had the "mother of all toothaches" during this weekend... all the anbesol, salt water gargling, and cold vodka were only very temporary fixes...
I need to see my dentist ASAP ! (like as soon as I get off the airplane !)
 
Also wish YOU could've been with us, AMY !!! But it was real nice that your other half, Chris was able to hang with us , and represent the both of you!

GREGG, you not only gave me "couch crashing" priveleges, but also "laptop priveleges" on the special "guest computer"..
You were a great host , Gregg ! (I seem to be giving you an extra "G" on your name, is that cool?)
hanging out with you and our Roadfood gang was like being at summer camp for a few nights ....!  (espescially when Gregg and I took that long walk around the Smith College paths thru the woods, and by all the ponds. We had to try working off all that food somehow.... and Gregg showed me around Northampton (and also Amherst)  
 
After 2 nights at Gregg's in Northampton, I am now in the Boston area for my final night.  Staying in my $60 , plus tax, Courtyard by Marriott room  (via priceline.com) . It's in Revere/Saugus, just north of Logan airport.
It's real late on Monday night, 2 am, and I just jumped on one their free hotel guest computers in the little business center.
My Spirit Airlines flight is tomorrow morning , May 19th, back to AC.
 
Hope to meat up with you all again soon! And to also help break in new Roadfooders like No Carolina on your first Roadfood.com adventures !
You, TOO, can hang out with the likes of Wandering Jew, Billyboy, Gregg, Chris, and yours truly ...!!

I've already had the pleasure of "breaking bread" with Wanderingjew and Ayersian ( both Chris and Amy - three different meet-ups! ) and I look forward to meeting you and the other East Coast posters. I've been actively involved with the Roadfood community for less than five months, and I've already been to seven meet-and-eats in as many states, and I've met almost three dozen of the regular Roadfood posters ( all very nice people! ) Are you going to be participating in September's  Buffalo/Rochester bus tour? I'm attending it, and I hope to meet you there.  

It's great to finally meet up with so many folks that we only knew through their great writing and pic skills - thanks to Greg for hosting and setting us up with four great stops in Northampton. It's a beautiful little town, and a great place to spend a couple of days.

Baah Ben-I wish I was able to travel more, but I did get to hang with some really great people all weekend and I chowed like a fiend!  We hit the Carnegie one of these days.  

Beth-I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo glad I waited to have my first Indian Pudding at Durgin Park.  It's almost a crime that I lived there for so long and never tried it!

I'm almost done editing my photos, so I'll supplement Billyboy's trip report- At the meet-up  I graciously backed out of doing the trip report since I'm all "trip reported out" from my 9 chapter So-Cal marathon.

Dont mean to be an ass****guys, just am anxious for the report!!!

No, I don't plan to attend the BUFFALO/Rochester Roadfood tour.
I don't feel good about it taking place on the exact days of the Rosh Hashana Jewish Holiday...
besides we've got a huge 3 week poker tourney going on during that time at my casino.... tough to get extra days off until one "calls out"...
I'll be sure to enjoying reading the Buffalo trip report, though ! Hope you have a great time!
 
I've had the pleasure of going to Buffalo a few years or so back.... I love those beef on wecks!!
did the Anchor Bar, Duffs, La Nova for pizza, Ted Andersons, .......plus a few others..
I flew from JFK to Buffalo on Jet Blue...
never been to Rochester; almost went there, does that count ?!
 
I've been on 2 "Roadfood sanctioned" trips with Jane and Michael .....     Austin, as well as Nashville....
It hit the spot for me........and it's nice to see others have a chance to get a coveted seat on the bus...
it does sell out quick!!.........and get to break bread with Jane and Michael.... they are warm hearted, fun people to spend the day with ...
 
I actually enjoyed our little Northampton group...."the dirty dozen" ...(give or take a few people)
nice intimate number of people...... everyone felt included , we had  about 3 or 4 carpools...
and with pit stops at Gregg's inbetween food stops...  (it helped with our recuperating process!)
 
 
 


 

Ellen, I'm sorry to hear that you won't be attending the Buffalo/Rochester thingie, I was looking forward to meeting you ( someday, someday. ) If you really want a look at my Adonis-like features ( yeah, right! ), check out page 1 of the "Cincinnati Chili & Coney Crawl" under Trip Reports; look for the dark blue T-shirt and nearly non-existent hair ( the pot belly speaks for itself. )

Of course, I think we all know that the moon landing was done on a sound stage, but I don't think that diminishes any of your other accomplishments.
