What Small Things Makes You Happy?

I wrote a song/poem, some time ago, along those very lines. I claim neither a song writer nor a poet to be, but here it is:

Moments We Live For

1.There are certain times that surpass all the rest
There are certain times we care about the most
These are the times that we consider the best
They are the times that we remember longest

C. These are the moments that we live for
They are the moments that we love
These are the moments we remember
They are blessings from above.

2. Like when you get home and kiss me tenderly
Like when we’re laying side by side in our bed
We’re cuddled up, your head on my shoulder
And the dog on my pillow against my head

3.Like when you take some vacation time and say
Let’s head for that old forest in PA
Like when we’re retired, old and gray,
Hand-in-hand, still in love, just like the first day

Your song/poem gave me have a moment of happiness. I really
would like to hear it in song. Could you e-mail the chord/word
structure? Your song reminded me of another happiness of
when I had a canary, and I always let it fly free, the cage door
always open. (And blessedly, it returned to the cage to relieve himself.)
His name was Salem, and I often napped on the couch and would awake
to find him literally resting in the cup of my ear. I know that sounds
strange, but he did that. I was reminded of that in your words about the
dog on my pillow against my head. Now, I have dogs and they do the same
as your song lyrics.
I, also, have the faith and hope of meeting Jesus face-to-face. It gives
me a personal surge of happiness.

Watching a litter of kittens play
Seeing hubs find a part he needs for the 1931 Ford he's rebuilding
Eating breakfast out
Having good programs stored on TIVO on weekends

Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate them! Unfortunately, I don't know much about music, and therefore, there are no notes, and no cord structure. That is why I said it was a song/poem. Maybe poem would have been more accurate. I am "musically" challenged.

It sounds like a happy song so I would guess G Major.

my nephew, Aaron and his lovely wife, Tracy, are going to have a baby.
So hearing good news about someone you love gives me happiness.

A nice bike ride along a rails-to-trails path (western end of Silver Comet Trail in Georgia, Eastern end of The Chief Ladiga Trail in Alabama), a nice kayak trip along a lazy stretch of the Chattahoochee - paddle upstream a ways, then drift back with my shoes off and feet and hands in the cool water (the river is fed from a dam on Lake Lanier, and the water is nice and cool). A good root beer (IBC!!!). A nice hike, a visit to the beach, an aimless drive.

Darn - I like active things and sure don't look like it! I need to do a lot more of what I like!

* putting on my pajamas at the end of a long day
* petting a dog
* knowing an answer on Jeopardy! that the three contestants don't know
* watching the smiles on peoples faces as they eat ice cream

not to be disrespectful. and maybe it is not such a small thing, but it sure is fun. But my answer is =========== sex.
