Oh, this is really a great question, I am amazed I have not seen it before! This is so funny.
You know, it always surprises me to read about death row dudes requesting Big Macs, and junk like that. There are a couple of realities involved here. A)The "chef" in a prison is not likely to know how to cook up some fancy french dish. Nor is the warden likely to order out much more than fast food. B)Maybe the condemned does not give a damn about his health, right? Just gimme a pizza. Now, to answer your question: and I will bet I get a lot of seconds from Dallas on this:
Last meal: Cost? About $12
a) Double Margarita, on the rocks, at Ojeda's on Maple (of course, I don't think you can pound booze on Death Row, although I sure don't understand that. It's like, why do they wipe your arm with alcohol swabs just before they pump you full of poison?!?! Give the man a drink, dammit!
b) Lots of lovely chips and salsa, all of this is Ojeda's.
c) #5, with a second crisp taco.
d) Big glass of iced tea, lots of lemon & sugar.
e) About 4 steamed corn tortillas, with butter & salsa.
f) Just one more single margarita.
g) A pecan praline.
But I do wonder about some of the "last meals" I read about, almost incredible quantities, I don't see how anyone can park that much, just before taking what they used to call the hot squat.
