The previous owner probably can't afford the gas for it.

I understand that her house already had one. What she really wanted was a sports car made in Germany.

I think "Porche" is the French-Canadian spelling of porch...

Geeeez people, you'd think that after 5 years of German in school that I'd be able to spell Porsche properly... Actually I'm gonna blame it on the 3 finger typing skills that I have

                  Dearfolk,
My take is that he was informing us of what breed of dog he is. No wonder he has such trouble spelling and/or typing.

                  P. S. Seriously, and on topic... a waitress I knew a few years ago was tipped an old, beat-up car (that looked like sin but ran perfectly) by a regular who was a mechanic so she wouldn't have to keep taking cabs or the bus to work. It was a Mazda, if I remember, and continued to run without any serious problems for a couple of years.

Fellow Roadfoodies, my deepest apoliges I did NOT in any way intend to offend anyone was just relating a quip from a near and dear freind of mine who I admire and respect dearly. Just trying to add a little levity, thought it might bring a chuckle to the subject of tips. Of all the lables that someone might call a me raceist could'nt be further from the truth. This has bothered me all night knowing that I unintentionally hurt someones feelings. As for the Italian lessons, I speak and read the language fairly fluently. I grew up in a predomenent Italian neighborhood I was the fastest Irishman on the block. Other than apologize [chiedere scusa] I'm at loss on how to make this right. Essere dispiaciuto!!! I'm humbly sorry. chow [ciao] Jim

I removed a post that had a weak attempt at humor, and the flaming responses to it. I accept, for the group, Jims apology and want the comments to end here.

UPDATE! The Mazda is actually a Toyota, and it's still running, with 340,000 miles on it. She drove to work in it Friday. It looks like death warmed over, but still runs perfectly.
