Tue, 09/21/10 1:46 AM (permalink) Bears in the NFL, and anyone who is playing Notre Dame or Florida in college. I actually pull for Minnesota and Wake Forest in college (only because I went to them) but they typically don't do much damage, except to themselves.

My alma mater, the University of Cincinnati and where my children attended college, the University of Minnesota, University of Wisconsin, Oregon State, and University of Wyoming. Since I taught a University of Minnesota extension college course for a few years and now get all kinds of alumni news and solicitations, and it is the dominant team in our news, I guess I follow them the closest. Those are the teams I wince at when they lose.

Pros? Minnesota Vikings of course. I grew up a solid Otto Graham led Cleveland Browns fan in the 50s but they aren't even the same team now or even in the same conference. I must confess I was always a Green Bay Packers fan and always cheered against the Bears, though I was a big fan of Gale Sayers and Dick Butkus.

Tue, 09/21/10 10:55 PM (permalink) Penn State and the Eagles.I dont expect much out of either team this year.However, the Phillies just took a 5 game lead over the Braves so hopefully they will be playing deep into October.
