What are Your opinions on the Golden Corral?

My Wife and I ate there on Sunday and found in really good. I really liked their vegetables(especially their Home Fries),salads and Steak.

It's ok occasionally. Not something I like to do even once a month. They usually have a good fried fish and I like the meatloaf.

Don't go on "Veterans Eat Free" night - the geezers storm the buffet for free food like they are re-enacting D-Day.

golden corral SUCKS.
we use togo to the one in waynesboro pa a very good breakfast buffet , but that dinner buffet wow either half cooked fried chicken or burnt.....to much to list....id pick at dinner bar then head for dessert bar ....hard to mess up icecream and cake etc. since it all comes in premade.

Those "GEEZERS" you are refering to are one of the reasons why you are allowed to sit in comfort and post your eloquent remarks here without fear of censorship. If given the chance I would be happy to be there on Vetrans night and offer to carry their plates or trays to their tables. JimEast, that was the best reply to a topic on RoadFood that I have ever read. I too, would be there carrying trays, refilling drinks, and if needed paying for a Vets dinner.

I've eaten there once and I liked it well enough that i'd go back without any qualms. My kids really dug all the choices and ate well. My wife and I had a decent variety also and everything was fine.
I would also carry plates for our vets. How couldnt you?

The one by me was great when they first opened 5 or 6 years ago but has since gone to the dump. Tough steak, watery salads and flavorless deserts. Typical franchise buffet food I guess. I just know that they used to be very good but not anymore.
