What chain make a great take out sandwich ?

I as a rule, don't like fast foods, but firms like Jimmy John's does make a fair sandwich, who elese does? Some chain that is all over, and has a great sandwich, and what is it, and the cost.

Blimpies in Gary, Indiana, is the best, which I believe had the first blimp sandwich in this country.

The best sub I have ever had(and still do)is a local chain named Suburpia.While there is only one left in the Milw.area,there are two other shops named Gold Coast that use the same recipe...yum!

The only decent chains that serve good sandwiches are local chains ie Primanti's in Pittsburgh and Ricotti's in Rhode Island. The national chains and most regional chains suck!

Gary Indiana is an amazing place. First pizza ever and now we hear the first Blimpies sandwich. I lived around Gary for most of my childhood and early adult years and just finding out about these culinary facts. The only thoughts that bring back memories about Gary is the red light district on Washington and Adams streets.

I'm so thrilled to find another La Spadas fan. Been going there since the opened in the mid-70's. Big Daddy Flanigan turned us on to this place. Every time I get back to town that's one of my first stops. That is my touchstone for subs. It is the bread and mayo that make these great, to me. And the meat is fine too.

The original is on Seagrape, just south of Commercial. Get your sub and sit on the beach.

On the other hand, I hesitate to add to these absurd OP entries. All I can figure is pumping for post count.

Why do like La Spadas? Can you tel me where i can find La Spadas. What country are the from? They must be Polish. Or they wish they were. Submarines were first in Fort Lauderdale. We are the best. Do you like them smoked or fresh? Do you like them in the bottle or not. Can you buy them in a store? Can you tell me which store? Where? Do you wish you were a store? I wish I was a hot dog. I wis I was a sub. What kind of hot dog do you wish to be? Polish? I knew it. Everyone want to be a polish dog.

Yeah, I'm a fresh dog. Sorry. But I've been reading this board for years. I love it. I travel for my job and always check here first to find out where I should eat. I don't have much to contribute in the way of new finds. But lately I've grown tired of half of the front page being dominated by self generated "bumps". It'd be something else if they said, "I know of this great place at such and such where they server the best X. You should try it." Or even...anything. Anything at all.

This is the most respectful, considerate, allowing place I've found on the InterTubes. That's evidenced by the lack of heat that's been blown in this particular direction. And I'm trying to keep pace. But I've grown weary. Evidenced by this post. I'm not asking for anyone to shut up. I am asking for someone to put up. Stop with the nonsense.
