What do you do with this stuff?

I was in the store on Tangier Island and saw canned herring roe on the shelf.  I love shad roe but I have never had herring roe.  Anyone know how you use it?

    Can't help you with that one.  Was it in a tube?  If so.... on a cracker?

    My sister fries of fresh Herring roe for breakfast..she loves it and I personally can't stand it.

    fried herring roe is good ok so is blue gill roe and bass roe and ....
