What happened to the state maps?!

In the supposedly "new & improved" restaurant finder section, there was a map added this year. When I selected a state (say Vermont) it would bring up the list but above it a map of all the locations with tags to click to see what place it was & a link to the review.

I've tried several states today and NO MAP! What the heck happened?!

I am having the same problem but only with Internet Explorer - my browser choice. When I try Firefox, they pop right up. I am not a computer guy and therefore, it does not make sense to me.

That is weird...on my recent rip to St. louis, I printed them out with the flags from Firefox. On previous trips, it had always worked on Explorer.

Did you click on the state, then the restaurant and then click on the restaurants address??? That's where you should get the map. I did. I hope I'm not misunderstanding the question.

You are misunderstanding a bit. Not too long ago they "upgraded" the state pages and put a map up with the results for each state with flags so you could actually see the locations on a big map, not just go to each individual restaurant and then try to figure out where it was. Invaluable for trip planning, IMHO. In fact it was a teeny bit annoying to me when I wanted to find a restaurant because I had to scroll down past it, but I'll take that over not having it!

    I still have no maps.

The big dogs are silent on this one. Do you think they replaced the maps with banner ads?

I dunno but I am on a different computer now... and STILL NO MAPS!

Why do some folks still have them, I wonder. Are these folks actually talking about the full state maps with the state by state lists? Or just the individual restaurant ones. Actually I am sure ChiTownDiner is on the same page as me... ChiTown - got maps still?!

I have tried both IE and Firefox now on two completely different machines. Sigh.

The maps were done with a contract we had for GoRVing.com - a major advertising sponsor on the site from March through May. They essentially subsidized the feature so we had to retract when the contract was finished. Roadfood Insiders, still have access to a variety of maps.

Just found them. You must be an insider.

Just click on "Insider", scroll down to maps and put in a state.

Very useful tool. You can view your route and all the Roadfood places along the way. Worth the price of admission.
