What is Salt Water Taffy and where can I get it?

Wow,

The last time I posted to this forum was 3 1/2 years ago about gummi sushi and Ed and assorted others did a good job of Japanese snacks.

My questions is: One day there appeared on the staff room table, a box of pastel rather free form toffees. Had them, they were wonderful and figured they were some Japanese thing I hadn't seen yet. I got to thinking and imagined they might be saltwater taffy.

Does that sound like it? Pink, green, white?

And anywhere I can get them online to send to Japan or Canada.

Fralingers don't send other than to the states (a common thing), as you say, Goldenrod is closed and the virtualnjshore 'cannot find server'.

Try Candy Kitchen in Ocean City, MD. But Fralingers/James is the best. Can someone order them and then send to you?

Yeah, Tony Bad! The Goldenrod is great, but closed until spring.
We order in September, freeze them, and give them for Christmas.

Hmmm. works for me. are you using IE?.. I usually find when cannot find server comes up, I have lost my internet connection.

I love sitting at the counter and having lunch at the Goldenrod in early summer, before it gets too crowded. The food is good, not great, but it such a neat atmosphere that whatever I have tastes that much better. I don't want to start any taffy wars (taffy pulls??) but I think the Goldenrod's taffy is the best!

Some of the best I have had comes from out west in the Oregon/Washington state area
Also Daytona Bch. has a fabulous Buttered Popcorn salt water taffy at a shop next to the pier
