What is Your Favorite Brand(s) of Beer ???

No matter whta you drink at home, try the local brews when you are traveling - there's a whole lot of very nice stuff out there.

I drink so many different micros I couldn't name a favorite but my go to "when I'm in the beer store" beers are always the same...

Fullers London Porter
Samual Smith's Oatmeal Stout
Guinness Extra Stout
Anchor Porter (my every day beer)
And any ice beer when I have tomato juice and Tabasco readily available.

For a small area we have a pretty good selection of micro brews (and high alcohol brews) from around the country ..everything from Ayinger to Victory and just about anything you could come up with in-between.

Yep, it's a good day for beer drinkers when you can settle for Sam Adams...a good brewery putting out some very drinkable brews. I can recall when settling meant a Bud or "I'll pass" which was usually my answer if there was no tomato juice and hot sauce on hand.

I'm very proud to say that I'm a Budwiser fan. They don't call it the King of Beers for nothing.
Many years ago I was a Haffenreffer drinker and an ocaisonal Piel's.
When I can get it there is a good Scottish beer called Tennant's, I really enjoy that.
Someone just gave me a case of Ipswich Ale for Christmass, I'll save that for the guests on New Years day. They will enjoy it more than me.
Local Costco sells Bud 36packs for 21 bucks, not a bad price.
I see PBR mentioned here, huge seller in Portland Me. I understand that it is now brewed in Texas. Chow Jim

"Blast" is right. With a list like that I suspect DD's underwear brand isn't Hanes or Jockey, but Odor-Eaters.
Someone gave my dad a 12-pack of Hamm's for Christmas back in 1981. Even though I was underage at the time he didn't object when I took it back to college with me...I didn't realize until later that he got the better of that deal.

The only one of those on the list that I may had had since about 1980 would be a PBR just this past summer.

I was on my way up to Las Vegas and stopped in Wikieup for some darn good BBQ.(Eat at Joes) I could not resist washing it down with an ice cold Pabst in the can.

I am patiently waiting for Bell's Brewery Hopslam Ale to arrive. It is a seasonal brew available in January. A biting, bitter, tongue bruiser of an ale. With a name like Hopslam, what did you expect? 10% alcohol content. I think it may be the one Bell's brew I have not tried.

I try a lot of imports and small labels-but for everyday--I like Shiner Bock and --when i van get it here in rural Oklahoma--my real favorites are Sierra Nevada----Pale Ale,Stout.Porter.Celebration Ale and BIGFOOT ALE!!!---and also Butte Creek Brewery products(a much smaller brewery.that produces really good organic ales and beer I especially like the India Pale Ale and the Porter-also in the same town-Chico Ca) If any of you get out that way--Chico is a GREAT town to tour both breweries--and Sierra Nevada has a killer pub and world class music venue that features blues and is the home stage for a new NPR blues show called Sierra Stage---AND--the place is BEAUTIFUL!!! and now surrounded by their own hops fields! If you do get there--order a bunch of appetizers--(one of each) and the beer sampler-which gives you a BUNCH of short beers to sample--including several that they only serve on tap at the pub--my son took me there for Fathers Day for this meal--trust me--it's good

Butte Creek's pretty good. We get all the west Coast stuff, so I'm sort of a cheap good beer drinker, as there's always one brand on sale each week for about $4.99 to $5.99 a six pack at my local store.

Bud's my fallback position if they're not serving Pyramid. I didn't think to mention it because it's not what I bring home to drink/cook with. However, it does just fine for me in the little hole in the wall Mexican joints that seldom offer Pyramid. In fact, you could say I'm a big fan of Bud and have been since I forever swore off Coors back in the seventies.

Any of the beers from the New Belgian Brewery. I especially like the 1554 Brussels Style Black Ale.

Absolutely, if I can't settle for "Sam" then it will be either a gin and tonic or a diet coke

I seem to recall dropping back from the pack at the first Glee Club Meeting, and having a Bigfoot on draft in Memphis with Tiki, somewhere close to the Rendezvous.
