What kind of beer do you drink with YOUR pizza?

I always resort to sipping on a corona when I eat pizza. Some people prefer heffs or blue moons..or maybe no beer at all. What do you like with your pizza??

my roommates and I threw this pizza together in 15 minutes (not including bake time). The easy thing about making your own pizza is that you don't even have to make your own dough! Trader joes has already made doughs in different flavors. AND you can just throw on whatever you want :D

Any Quality beer....no watery lite beer......or,like we did in Italy, drink WINE!!

I don't know why people are marking all my blogs as spam..way to encourage people to come on here and write about things they enjoy.
 
I don't think I've ever had wine with pizza ahah my roommates and I usually have a wine and cheese night where we sit and drink wine, and eat crackers with cheese. Port salut is my favorite! As for beer, I can't do the dark bitter beers :/ It makes my food taste grossss

I'd be interested to hear from the person flagging  missvuster's posts as to their reasons for doing so. Granted, she's?? made some dumb posts initially but the last couple have been OK. She?? may have some  undisclosed reasons for building her?? post count, but I haven't seen it yet. Am I being Nieve?

I dont feel she has made dumb posts. I remember when I first joined, and had some wonderful guidance from someone who saw my potential as a positive( mostly) contributor.That was years ago.

Whats 1919??

1919 is a small batch classic American draft root beer sold in the upper Midwest. It is often on tap in bars alongside regular beers.

For soda, I prefer any good root beer or cream soda.
For wine I prefer red Zinfandel or Shiraz.

I prefer red wine with pizza.

nope, only around Minnesota, it is my favorite root beer

I like a pilsener or lager with pizza. I'm not really into very hoppy, bitter beers myself, so I like something that isn't going to overwhelm the pizza or be too heavy.

Sometimes I prefer beer with pizza but I also like a coke or pepsi. To me at least beer with pizza is not a must.

I almost always choose a beer I have not tried before.  Recently picked up a six pack of this:

which has about the right color, nose & flavor I like.  Will probably pick up some more.  For a reliable standard I'll go with Yuengling or Brooklyn Lager.

Lager VS Ale just has to do with the brewing process.  One is brewed at a lower temp.(I can never remember which is which). Also in one the yeast works at the top of the vat while in the other the yeast is on the bottom.
 
The Bitter you refer to has more to do with the amount of hops used, which will effect either type.  Giant American commercial tasteless swill is mostly lager, thus some connect less bitter with lager.  Not really the case.
 
Light beers usually refer to the calorie content rather than the color.  Hefeweizen refers to the use of wheat rather than barley as the fermenting grain.  Again, the color has more to do with the brewing process, rather than the contents, so it is possible to brew a darker wheat beer as well.
 
I am by no means a beer expert, but as Little Feat say "I know a little 'bout it".

BILLY?  That's i95's favorite also.

I like beer and I like pizza but for some reason what I always want with pizza is an ice cold fizzy fountain coke with lots of ice.
