It's just regular whole wheat bread, but I whisked some cinnamon and sugar into the eggs.

Sorry, CajunKing! Mar did it to me, too.

If it makes you feel any better, tonight my mother decided the family should all meet at Golden Corral so we could all see our cousins (in from Baltimore for the week). So, dinner tonight was overpriced, low-quality buffet. I chose to concentrate on the salad bar, fried chicken, and dessert.

Lentil pilaf with chicken - only 5 WWP+ (Weight Watchers Points Plus, for the uninitiated) for a 1 cup serving, and a green salad.

Felix-we cannot stand Golden Corral-we had to meet family there in Raleigh NC-it was actually pretty good as they served awesome area appropriate food. Great fried chicken, great veggies and beans, and good pie!

I don't have to go in to work until 4PM so I made dinner before I left. No recipe really. I used ground lamb, onions, red bell pepper, garlic, fresh herbs, red wine a can of fire roasted tomatoes and orecchiette pasta.

Tonight lleechef is making Pasta e Fagiole, which I pronounce pasta fazool -- and that earns me a slap upside the head. Those Northern Italians are so fussy.

How else would you pronounce it?
Just as manicotti = man y got

I guess it should be manna got
And my Italian friends also call stuffed shells Manna got

Ok, I'll give both of you credit for getting reasonably close on pasta e fagiole.  BUT in W. PA I have heard manicotti called "Stuffed Sewer Pipes"!!!!  These are the same people that drink Iron City Lite and root for the Squeelers.

Annie, nice to be seen!

Tonight, I stuffed some peppers from my garden, roasted them and served them with a fresh tomato marinara.

Huh. I posted last night, but it's gone. C'est la vie...last night all I had was microwave popcorn sprinkled with Parmesan cheese from a can because I forgot I had to work.

Tonight I planned ahead, so I got to have chicken and spinach enchiladas.

Don't look, Marlene!  There's a bunch of cilantro in there!

These are from a Mexican grocery store near me.  I love their tacos, especially with a squeeze of lime juice.  One al pastor and one carnitas:

Chris, you got me curious on that--I had to look up Bigos.  Now I know!   I expect it will be delicious, too.
