What's the recipe for the creamy grape salad? Looks Good!

It's one of our favourites...almost always have it in the fridge in summer, and usually make it a couple of times in winter as well.

Tonight I baked some tilapia with mayonnaise and herbs, served with more of the vermicelli salad and some cottage cheese. I saved the grape salad for my evening snack.

We had sautéed duck breast with Port wine sauce, glazed "turned" turnips and carrots, with pommes darphin.

The highlight was the pommes darphin

Threw together a pasta tonight. Fresh fennel bulb, onion, grape tomatoes and chicken breast in a lemon wine sauce.

Lisa and Ed, you're making me hungry and it's been less than an hour since I finished my own dinner. Those both look amazing!

Tonight I did some roasted pecan-goat cheese chicken (whole chicken, mixture spread underneath the skin), garlicky sweet potato rounds, and we polished off the last of the vermicelli salad.

Tonight was a combo-----use some leftovers plus new stuff to make dinner. So.....a homemade chili size, with green tomatillo pico de gallo and cole slaw.

County fair food.  We shared nondescript pizza, fries with vinegar and salt (very tasty), and fried watermelon.  I didn't much care for warm watermelon  but it was interesting to try.

Tonight I reheated the pecan-goat cheese chicken, and added some tortellini salad and bean-artichoke salad. I love that we're finally starting to get local produce for summer salad season! I generally keep 2-5 salads going all summer long.

We are in Clearfield, PA, on our way back home from CT.  We randomly chose Clearfield because it's about half-way and there are several motels.  We checked in, there was a "magazine" about the local eateries.  Come to find out, we're 2 miles away from Denny's Beer Barrel Pub!!!!!!  They have been on the Travel Channel, Food Network, etc. and are known for their huge burgers.......2, 3, 6, 15, 25, 50 and 100 lb. burgers!  We are not in a food competition but we're hoping for a good 10oz. burger this evening!

Tonight, I grilled pork chops and served with fresh corn on the cob. As a side, apples and onions sautéed in butter, with spices, rum and brown sugar.
For dessert we went out with friends to everyone's new favorite place, Joe's Italian Ices.

An ice with Bada Bing Cherry and Strawberry Banana, a "Joe Latti" with soft serve ice cream on top of Bada Bing  Cherry and Strawberry Banana Ice, a Bada Bing Cherry and Sugar Free Apple Ice.

Look familiar, pnwchef?

Things started out very well when we saw that they had Smithwick's on tap.  Then we looked at the menu.  "All burgers are cooked to an internal temp. of 160 degrees."  Well done.  We like ours MR.  We were not happy.  But we ordered burgers anyway because we didn't know of any other place to go.  They were lousy......dry and tasteless because of being well done.  We would never go back.  But for those of you who like WD burgers, the place was certainly animated and the ambiance very rustic and pleasant.  If only they didn't cook the darn burgers WD!!!

Toinght we're having Burgers ala Sundancer's Daughter, as mentioned in the recent "cooking tricks" thread.  I'm flying blind but it's going to be an interesting experiment, and I have a frozen pizza as backup.

You know, I had wondered about that because of the size of the burgers. Too bad.
