wow!  What a feast!  Everything looks spectacular.  Aren't those bacon-wrapped onion rings good?   Brisket looks cooked perfectly.  (Thumbs down for the NY Yankees cake.  )

The rings were a hit. My thanks to you for the idea!

OK. Dinner tonight was very simple. Marvelous, but simple. Butternut squash ravioli with a brown butter and sage sauce plus a caprese salad, with a delightful Chateau St. Michelle Pinot Gris. It was followed by a desert of sliced baguette with Amish butter and Italian gorgonzola. I usually make the browned butter and sage sauce, but tonight lleechef made it and, frankly, hers is better than mine. I love the way the browned butter and sage sauce complements the butternut squash filling of the ravioli.

Oh, wow, Ed...that looks amazing!

Tonight I was on my own for dinner, so I did breakfast. If frying in bacon grease is wrong, then I don't wanna be right.

Frying in bacon grease is not wrong, it is required.  Yum.

My kind of dinner.

Behind my ear is killing me so I "might" skip dinner. Broke a tooth.

Grilled pork tenderloin with Buddy Roadhouse sauce.

With roasted potato wedge and sautéed zucchini.

I rarely skip a meal so I picked up a chicken pit pie. Easy to chew.

Last night we had haddock topped with king crab and lemon butter sauce, with fresh peas.

It's not upside down although it does look that way, they are just very shallow and being all white doesn't help.  Time for new plates!

This looks like something a Professional Chef would prepare!
AND at the same time, created an Optical Allusion!
THAT takes skill!

My niece and I took her kids to iHop tonight, and I don't even care if that's awful to some of you. I had their strawberry banana cream pie pancakes and they were fantastic. I did not, however, bother with a picture. By the time I got done cutting pancakes and pouring syrup for my assigned kid, I was so hungry I just dove in.

Last night: Rib Eye...big flames renered the fats perfectly into a juicy experience

Tonight: skinless boneless chicken breast, indirect heat on the grill to 165 degrees...wonderfully juicy.

Spicy honey-brushed chicken thighs, summer squash medley, and some kinda rice out of a pouch that claimed to be cheddar broccoli.

We now have Ohio grown produce and I saw a beautiful eggplant so I made eggplant parmesan.  We had linguine and a large tossed salad with it.

For dessert we had a delicious red velvet cake that our neighbor made!
