Bill, that's just what I do.

Chefbuba, if you're using the same pastrami as Langer's... that's what I'll order if and when I get up your way.

My goodness, but it's nice to be able to eat food again! I was still a little rocky yesterday, but today seems to be going well. Parmesan broiled tilapia, mixed vegetables, and peas & carrots.

Thanks, Mar! That was a way bad one.

Tonight I did salmon cakes with creamy dill sauce, and a bag salad on the side.

Cool front came through this morning and the 75 degrees now feels like heaven compared to the upper 90's & high humidity we've been dealing with for weeks.  Football is on the tv and we've got a 2 inch thick NY Strip on the grill - potatoes baking in the Nuwave - a salad and a few crab legs to top it off - life's good!

Looks good, Greg.  What kind of sauce on the relleno or is that just cheese?

Is that an ashtray next to your dinner plate?

Edited to add my dinner...

I've had these chicken, brie sausage for about a week and didn't know what to serve with them.

So I made them part of this meal.
Sausage, pinto beans and pickled jalapeno peppers.

Not bad.  Not wonderful.

We stopped at a Big Boy on the way home from a weekend music festival in the middle of nowhere. Purely because there was one. They don't do a bad caramel butter pecan milkshake, but my burger was just a burger, nothing special.

Mar, are those Aidell's sausages? I really like those.

I also like Bruce Aidell's chicken and apple sausages but these were another brand.  I don't know the brand because I shared the package with a friend and I didn't get the wrapper.  They were a traveling show visiting Costco.

I think the closest Big Boy to me is in Burbank.  It's a drive-in and they hold classic car nights there once a month.

A Hatch green chile cheseburger. With White Cheddar cheese and [not authorized] onion. The cheese was not quite successful, but OK. Will purchase different cheese for the next round. I've got lots of roasted and frozen chile, so there will be many more rounds.

I love GCC's and this was great. Kudos to my sweetie, the master griller.

Who do you mean, ann? If it was me, I apologize...I just got back in town last night from being out of internet and cell phone range for several days. I pretty much skipped everything here (and everywhere else on the internet) that got posted before Sunday morning.

Perhaps it was me, scrolling back, as I see you haven't commented in this thread since a couple of days before I left. I do apologize...mar and I have something of an ongoing conversation, so I only answered her specifically. I'm sorry you felt slighted.

Edit:
And tonight's dinner...bacon-wrapped chicken rolls (cream cheese and chive stuffed), baked balsamic sweet onions, and a bag salad topped with grape tomatoes from my neighbour's garden.

This is the time of year all the vegetables at the farmers mkt are getting cheaper. We grow our own pepper and then fill in from the mkt, its nice to have stuffed peppers a few months from now when the peppers at $1 a piece.

I also apologize and have no idea what you mean, Ann.

I think everything both of us say is for everyone.

That said, I had 2 carnitas tacos and one shrimp taco from my new favorite chain...  Del Taco.  The carnitas tacos are as good as any mom and pop place.  The shrimp, not so much.

Edited to add... just read your post, Ann... how were the brats?  I don't know what else to say.

Ann, I just read you post, too. I can't believe you still had some of those brat buns. They're good, aren't they? We're going to have to head back up to Bucyrus for some more -- plus some more brats from Carle's.
