Today is a rather fall-like nasty rainy day.  High of 71.  So, I made a chicken noodle soup to get myself in the mood.  THis will be lunch and dinner and maybe even breakfast.

That sandwich has me salivating!

However, I think I'd add onions to mine.

I couldn't think for an hour after tasting the maple old-fashioned...

Bob's is an awesome donut shop with incredible donuts. When ordering a dozen it helps to be in the company of someone that also loves donuts & thinks that's a good idea. No yada yada dozen donuts? Dozen donuts? What are you gonna do with a dozen donuts? None of that. Thankfully.

L2B was down with that. She even ordered a big chunk of Apple Pandowdy...

My my my--that maple old fashioned was what I always wish a maple doughnut would be like, but they never are!

The apple pandowdy weighed in at 1 lb.  I nibbled on it for several days.

As much as I would have loved several donuts, I ate a Denver Omelet yesterday.  Cooked until it was killed and doused with Tapatio.

Sounds tasty!!  I kill my omelets--no runny eggs for me.  I like Cholula, but haven't tried Tapatio.

Smoked tri-tip, pork ribs, sausage sandwiches, grilled asparagus, crudites, chocolate cookies, and beer: tailgating at the Redskins-Raiders game.  I hadn't been to a football game in YEARS--loved it.

CC - I'll take the other half of your sandwich and my own cannoli sundae.

I'm so glad you mentioned CK's trip--I looked it up, and it's a wonderful report!  There's so much I haven't seen on here since I wasn't interacting here until a year or so ago.

Good heavens!  I want that eggplant sub.

My lunch was at Mission College's Mission Bistro, operated by students every semester.  Here's the bacon cheeseburger:

And chocolate mousse cake:

That looks like an A+ cake!

I think I can look @ cake...while in cookie rehab.

What's the worst they can do? Kick me out?

I'll share my sub. You gotta save room for the sundae(I'm pushin' for pistachio) ...so maybe half of the half divided by 2.

Yes indeed. The Court Jester is excellent for Bar-type food, Denino's is nearby, and a great bagel place (Eli's, I think) is close too, and Abate's Bakery in Matawan.

All that said, where exactly are those subs from? They do look good, and I can always use another sub destination. Thanks.
