We were going to have some beautiful lamb chops. But the Columbus Bluejackets-Pittsburgh Penguins game is going into its second overtime tied at 3-3. So the chops will have to wait till Monday.

I've heard if Pittsburgh wins Blackie and Bella get the lamb chops.

Columbus won. Bella's a Penguins fan so she's not being friendly. Blackie, on the other hand, is Columbus born, so he's a Bluejackets fan. Lisa's eating a leftover quesadilla from the Gahanna Grill. I'm not getting anything. The chops are back in the refrigerator.

Too bad I'm back here. I'd be up for a late run to the Waffle House. I have been craving those hash browns for days now!

Oh, the rain was nice. And at least I didn't have to scrape the rain from the windshield of the jetliner.

I need four seasons. I need temperatures that do not melt the dashboard on my car. I need to have snow and ice on my windshield every morning during winter. I need to be able to use my ice auger to drill holes in lakes so I can catch fish and drop them on the ice instead of having to use a cooler. And I need Crabill's, White Castles, yellow perch sandwiches and being able to get to Primanti Brothers any time I feel like driving for three hours.

Honey-soy glazed salmon, vegetable bundles with garlic-herb butter, tossed salad just like my grandma always made, pickled mushrooms, and crescent rolls from a tube. There's custard, too, but I didn't even bother to put it out. Odds are good it'll get eaten about 10:00...we're stuffed.

Let's see.....in the last few years:
Earthquakes in New York
Mud slides in Washington
Forest fires in.....ARIZONA
High taxes.....well, you got me there
Bumper to bumper traffic......where isn't it?

This morning, I saw the news, including the Pope with the Easter crowds in Rome. I decided I would do an Easter meal in honor of a famous Italian whose image is often used for Easter. This meal is for you, Pietro “Pasqua” Conigli.
I made a pasta sauce with fresh julienned yellow and green zucchini, rigatoni and Italian sausage with onions and peppers.

Yeah, but we don't have them all at the same time like CA
In AZ:
No earthquakes unless aftershocks from CA
No Mudslides.
Livable taxes.
Minor traffic issues.
Forest Fires? You got me there. Especially last year when we lost 19 Hot Shots.

Our local market had a seafood day for Easter. They offered whole Halibut, 1/2 Half Halibut, filets and steaks. The whole halibut was $8.99 lb fillets were $18 lb. They  had a small piece off to the side, I said I'll take that one it was whole about 5 lbs. They asked if I wanted it fillet, yah sure, it saves me work. It came of to $12 lb. I'll take that price all year long.

We paid $23/lb. for halibut here a few weeks ago.  I miss $8.99/lb. in Alaska!

The lamb chops are scheduled for tonight. But there's that Columbus Bluejackets-Pittsburgh Penguins game again -- this time in Columbus.

I already planned leftovers for dinner on Tuesday so I can watch the Wings-Bruins game. And yesterday's meal was all simple or make-ahead so I could watch it. Got over just in time for me to start the salmon.

Felix, those bundles look terrific.
I luvcfood, an amazing spread!

And for Lleechef,
Dinner tonight-----homemade lamb dip sandwiches, dipped twice, with mustard made to have the same kick as Philippe's. See, just get a whole leg of lamb-----sometimes the leftovers can be as good as the main meal!
