Pop Tarts sound wonderful.

I think Wahoo's is a national chain.  I walked there to pick up lunch/dinner.  Trying to stay with lower calorie meals I chose the Banzai burrito which was grilled vegetable with a choice of protein and I chose shrimp.  The burrito was hideous!  The shrimp themselves weren't bad but the vegetables just were not good.  Bad choice!

Picked up a ham and cheese sub for Sharon and we will be splitting that for dinner although she doesn't know it.. yet.

What an interesting way to serve Egg Fee Yong!

Donald, I'd like that without the mayonnaise and cheese.  Just give me some of that slimy brown sauce.

But I prefer a fork so I'd just call mine Egg Foo Yong.

Slimy brown sauce on a scrambled egg patty.  Right.  Sounds wonderful.

Lisa, made right it's delicious.  Most Chinese restaurants around here don't even serve Egg Foo Yong anymore.  The one that does puts flour in theirs and doesn't cook it out enough.... but I still order it!

I love egg foo young. There is good, and there is bad. Found a great place near me that makes a smaller patty, very light and fluffy, and the gravy isn't so heavy. Its on a buffet, so I can have as many as I want. Their other food is very fresh, as well.

I love egg foo young and I compare it to a great omelet,  rather  than scrambled eggs.  Also, the "slimy gravy is more of a cornstarch thickened soy sauce based sauce. My granddaughter's "Pink Knives Cooking Club"  have it down to perfection!

I don't believe I've ever had egg foo yong. Which is really weird, now that I think about it. I'll have to fix that next time we're out for Chinese.

I had the day off! And I cooked even though it's hot and humid and we don't have A/C. Garlic salmon and spinach, with a side of frozen vegetables I mixed with some spicy garlic teriyaki sauce.

Felix, you inspired me so I drove across the street to J. Nichols for real people food.  I enjoyed every bite.

Thanks for the explanation. I'm sure I wasn't the only one wondering. Sounds interesting/different. The hot pepper cheese sounds good.
I had an egg sandwich myself today. I cooked up a bunch of bacon. Some is in the refrigerator for a BLT or two in tbe next few days. The rest was part of a fried egg and bacon sandwich on toasted oatmeal bread. Hadn't had one in a long time.

I love fried egg sandwiches.  Oddly I put mayonnaise on them... something I'd never put on a fried egg.

Mar--I've never put mayo on a fried egg sandwich, though I imagine it would be good. I sometimes put American or hot pepper cheese on mine, though I didn't today.

Also add a slice of pork roll to that and then you've got the ambrosia of breakfast sandwiches...oh and put it all on a kaiser roll!!!

I always put mayonnaise on a fried egg sandwich. Cheese, too. In fact, I had a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich on wheat toast this morning.
