What's for BREAKFAST...???

There is no "What's for BREAKFAST?" thread yet?  I'll fix that.

Bobbi made Root Beer Float Waffles with Root Beer Syrup & Whipped Cream this morning.  Kind of weird, but after the first couple of bites (she didn't tell me what I was eating), they were great.  I also made some homemade breakfast sausage using Penzey's Breakfast Sausage seasoning.  Good stuff.

NOTE:  There is something on this forum that adds bogus links to keywords in messages.  I had to add the link to Penzey's to get rid of the link to some inferior seasoning merchant.

4 slices of Cracker Barrel bacon (really quite good) 2lbs-$10.99 at their stores. 2 fried eggs, 2 slices of butterbread toast and a glass of OJ.

$5.50 a pound is pretty good for quality bacon.  Thanks for the tip.

If I don't make Breakfast at home, I go to Jack in the Box!
    Breakfast served 24/7!
My Fave is a Sausage, Egg & Cheese Biscuit. I tried their new Loaded Breakfast Sandwich this AM. 2 Fried Eggs, Sausage, Bacon, Ham & Cheese on Sourdough Toast. Pretty Good! Their new Waffle Sandwich is pretty good too! Egg, Sausage, Cheese on 2 Maple Flavored Waffles!
All much better than other fast food entries!

Pretty much every morning I have Kashi Honey toasted cereal with Almond "milk". Today I had less than half a bowl and then had a toasted Thomas's whole wheat English muffin. We used to eat breakfast out every weekend but haven't in almost a year. There is a mom & pop nearby that makes home made corned beef hash that is awesome. We went there for over 20 years but I have had  a lot of health issues and it's too hard for me to get around.

Seamus...if you have the Entenmann's line in your area...these individual cakes are new & good. Plain & Raspberry. Raspberry Crumb is my favorite. I bought it by mistake thinking it was the Crumb...and didn't think I would like it. Both are really good.

I had to make do with the vending machine outside my office, nothing at home and no time to stop this morning. I do believe we have Entenmann's available in the area though, I'll look around.

The usual today.  Protein shake with frozen fruit (cherries this time).  These are so healthy for me that my body tries to reject the nutrients.

Since I get up at 5:15 every workday and have a 35 minute drive to the otherworld  - I usually arrive there just  before 7:00am.  I have about 30 - 40 minutes before the rest of the office staff shows up so I use these precious minutes to  have something of a breakfast - usually it's a breakfast sandwich but sometimes it's soup or cheese & crackers - I've never been able to do breakfast stuff like oatmeal or cereal or those bars - and doughnuts and pastries make me run the other way.

I can relate.  I'm up early and in the office by 6:30 and often don't start feeling hungry until 7, so often I'll bring in a large lunch (especially if I have leftovers) and eat part of it for breakfast.  If someone smells barbecue in the morning I'm usually the primary suspect.
