I want some crab... Darn it, got drool on my keyboard!

Last night (Christmas with my friends) we had smoked sausages and cheese slices, garlic hummus with pita points, artichoke-parmesan dip, kalamata olive spread with crackers, asiago spread with crackers, sour cream-salsa dip with tortilla chips, various olives and pickles, peanut butter bars (the kind with chocolate melted over the top), three-cheese fondue with bread cubes, and a veggie platter with dip (baby carrots, celery, radishes, green onions, broccoli, cauliflower, pea pods).

Tonight (Christmas Eve) I did breakfast. Hash browns with onion and green pepper, bacon, scrambled eggs, and toast. Later we'll have a couple of different cheese spreads, some creamy garlic meatballs, and some wine.

Christmas Day dinner I'm making chicken (roasted in a butter-wine-tarragon sauce), tarragon-sage dressing, steamed fresh green beans, mashed potatoes with gravy, and red cabbage (from the jar...it's a tradition with mom and my grandma that mom and I are going to carry on now).

Sunday (Christmas with my dad and stepmom at my sister's house) we're having BBQ meatballs, baby carrots and celery with veggie dip, southwestern dip with tortilla chips, three-onion dip with baby carrots and celery, garlic-herb cheese spread with crackers, baked beans (dad's recipe), and a few other things I won't know about until I get there, since I've only talked to one of my sisters about what she's bringing.

Then I think I'm finally done.

Just four of us: steam-roasted duck (we shall see), Chinese broccoli, green beans, bulgur w/ mushrooms and shallots, Julia Child's Queen of Sheba cake.

I just got home from my Aunt's .. ughhh.. I ate too much! I was right on some things that she would have. I have never seen so much food. And I totally changed my mind on what I was going to bring. I'm glad I didn't bring that cake... lots of sweet things there. Here is what was on the menu.. I'll try to remember everything.

          drinks:
          glogg
          beer (Labatts and Miller)
          Fuzzy Navel wine coolers
          coffee
          sparkling grape juice
          soda
          iced tea

          appetizers:
          cheese and crackers (I brought)
Taco dip with tortillas (I brought)
          Shrimp with cocktail sauce
little cocktail wieners wrapped in a pastry
          stromboli
          cheez-its
          pickled Herring
Sil (sp?), it's almost like a paté made out of ground veal.. yuk!
          main dinner:
          ham
          swedish meatballs
          korv
          gr bean casserole
          macaroni salad
          jello
          limpa bread
          butterbits
          cheesy potatoes
          corn
          tossed salad

          dessert:
          cheesecake with strawberry topping
cookies, cookies, cookies, and more cookies
          brownies
          apple pie

          I think that's it.. lol
