Lemon-Berry Slush!!! Absolutely delicious. I must admit too though, their burgers aren't like they used to be...and I'm only 30 years old!! I like their strawberry shakes too! i hate that they charge me extra for whipped cream though

Sera, I think they probably avoided MN on purpose because Dairy Queen's got you guys blanketed so thoroughly. If it makes you feel any better a DQ down south is a real rarity, but Sonic's in every little town.

Sonic is usually open on Christmas. I'll give 'em that.

Al-The Mayor, there you go again--talking about Sonic slushes! I was fine until you mentioned those word...Cherry Lime Slush...Strawberry Lemon Slush...It has been a good 11 months of Sonics depravation since our trip to Kentucky. Now what do I do??

        Off Lady,
You're in Hawaii, Right? Get some of that snow off the Volcanos... Dump it into a Slurpee cup.. squeeze several citrus sections(of your choice) into the cup and dump some soda water in on top. Then throw in a handfull of native strawberries or bing cherries and you are good to go ! hehehe. I often wonder what a Pineapple Slush with the berries/cherries would be like ! Sounds like something to try!

Pineapples?? Nah...but, it is the start of our lucious mango season here, so I guess I will have to settle for mango smoothies for now (they make the best frozen daquiries, by the way). Passion fruit smoothies are my favorite when not in Sonic-land.

I've never been to one. They advertise here on TW cable (Staten Island)...I can't understand that because the nearest one is in Delaware.

I think they continue to advertise because when you travel, you end up going there because you see the ads so often. That's happened to us. Then we got hooked on the slushes with chunks of real fruit in them. We don't have any Sonics where we live, but when we travel, we actually go looking for them to get our fix of slushies. Luckily there is one near my in-laws in Tennessee. My mouth is watering already just talking about them.

                    Off-Lady,
We really don't EAT at Sonic very much- if at all. But the Slushes and Limeades are the best deal around, especially during the "happy hour" (2-5 PM weekdays) when they are half price.

Our only Popeye's Chicken on this side of the River (across from Louisville) is right next to a Sonic. We really do run thru the drive-thru at the chicken stand then do the same at Sonic for the Slushes. Janet loves the Strawberry/Lemon and for me it is the Cherry/Lime or the Cranberry/Lime. There are times when this combination serves to fill our FF needs!

Hi! I'm new to the forum. I am marrying into a family that owns a few Sonic's here in Texas.

I'm excited to see that Sonic is expanding into the northern states. From what I understood there aren't too many once you get out of the South. (but I could be wrong about that)

My favorite sonic meal is definately a corn dog, tots and dr pepper...or sweet tea...Got to love those corndogs! =)

I live in NW Ohio and we don't have any Sonics near us but I always see the commercials all the time even though I think the nearest Sonic is near Detroit. I have to agree about them advertising in order to attract visits because when I was in Florida earlier this summer and I saw a Sonic I just had to go after seeing the commercials for the past two years or so.

I think the best thing about Sonic is the exit.
