What's your favorite cuisine?

For me it's a blend of everything. I will eat anything that is prepared well. Love French, I am really brought to new heights by New American - fresh prepared food in unique ways. Hot dogs, pizza, Italian .... gees that is comfort food. Chinese, who could pass on a Peking Duck and what about Southern food? Is there anything better than a piece of crunchy fried chicken or BBQ'd ribs. Food is the spice of life, what's your spice???

Seriousfoody--er, you hardly narrowed down that lengthy list and picked a "favorite" yourself. But if I have to, I think I'll go with Thai (Indian being a close second). I just like heat and especially the combo of sweet/heat found in those cuisines.

I'd go with Thai, Chinese, Mexican --- anything with lots of spices and peppers. Also, conch and peas and rice and anything Bahamian/Caribbean.

    Hello All,
For day to day food, American, but realize so much American is a mixture of other cultures.
For a special treat: Indian, Mexican, Chinese.

I love European Foods, especially old school Latvian... But when it comes to this part of the continent, I'll go for American comfort, Italian or Mexican... More or less, where the cook knows how to use whats on hand to create someting from scratch...

I have really grown to love Thai and Viet Namese. We have lots of great great places in the Sacramento area, from Mom and Pop type places, like Bobo Cafe, to Mai Pham's Lemon Grass. Yummm. It's all good.

My favorite cuisine is what I just ate, my next favorite would be what I'll be eating next. I haven't yet found an ethnic or regional food I've hated.

If we're talking international, here's my line up:
    1. Indian
    2. Vietnamese
    3. Japanese
    4. Middle Eastern
    5. Indonesian
    6. Korean

But, also, just about anything fresh and flavorful.

RubyRose, tonight my favorite cuisine is Middle Eastern. I made a wonderful baked chicken, onion and lavosh dish called musakhan. Lots of sumac, lemon and spices. We're looking forward to the leftovers.

    To Mr Chips,

When you get there try: Trinxat or truites de carreroles and possibly washed down with a humble Catalan wine.....delicious.

I'm from Syracuse. A small city. Plain. Ordinary. Cold weather. Cloudy. Filled with Italians.

I'm marred by my past, because Italian is still my favorite.

    OK, bring on the kielbasa!

After living all over the planet, if I had to pick ONE, just ONE, it would be the cuisine of Italy. Artichokes alla Romana, Caponata, Osso Bucco, risotto alla Milanese, Gnocchi alla Bolognaise, tortelloni, ravioli, capellini, fresh tomato sauce with fresh basil, fried pumpkin flowers, foccacia, fresh bocconcini, EVOO, gorgonzola....on and on.
