Where to display permits? Wed, 01/25/12 12:30 PM (permalink)
Ok, so I just passed my health inspection, got all other permits in order, commissary lined up, ready to open shop, but My reseller permit and HD permit need to be displayed in a place for everyone to see.
My cart is not to big, where does everyone display there permits? I could place them in a frame and put it on my little counter, but that would take up room on my counter space, and room is something I dont have alot of.
Just curious as to where you all display your permits, thanks!

We have an enclosed cart. Ours is in a clear "self-laminating" sheet protector and hung with binder clips (binder clips are very handy). It hangs off the ventilated shelving above the sinks. The HD inspection permit is stuck on the glass on the side of the cart.

The shelving we use as a dish drain

State permit & City Business license at top of pic (both will just fit)

HD permit ( little green rectangle on glass above wheelwell)

Before we enclosed, the permits were kept in a loose leaf binder in clear sheet protectors (taped shut to keep the pages dry). We could open the binder up and sit it on a bucket to display the permit (no business license was needed).  If your cart is made of steel you could laminate your permits and then use magnets or use a clip of some sort and display the permits on the side of the cart. Remove before traveling. Office supply stores sell a clear sign display that you could just slip your laminated pages into.

I display mine in the front of a 3 ring binder and then i have those clear pages and have my food handlers permit in there my buisness license my UBI paper that way anybody comes along I have it all and you dont have to actually have it displayed you can have it right there in your pocket....you just have to be able to show it on demand or when questioned my 3 ring binder lays on top of my ice chest......you can tape it your umbrella pole or anything.....
