Don't know any specific places, but if he's a Potato Chip/ Pretzel fan, he's in the worlds capital of that stuff.

The Road House just east of York on 462 is an old-time hotel/restaurant with excellent food. A little further east is Mack's ice cream stand. A good bar/rrestaurant is the Paddock which is still on 462 east of York.

I work in York about once a month. York has great diners everywhere. Round-The-Clock Diner at Rte 30 & Interstae 83 is a great place to get a good meal anytime. Also, the Restaurant at Heritage Hills Resort is very good.

Some one help me out here, what is the German place on US 30 near York? It's been discussed a few times here and I always try to stop there when I pass it. MikeS.

El Rodeo on Route 30 has pretty good mexican food, try the Tapatio, it's amazing. If you want coffee and the best coconut cake I've ever had the pleasure to devour, go to Round the Clock diner near the 83 interchange on 30. There is also a nice little thai cafe, but I can't remember where it is

Just go to your search site and type in the name of restaurant and city and I am certain that you will come up with directions very quickly and will be able to print them out.

You are not too far from Gettysburg. Try the Farnsworth Inn or the Dobbin House for period fare. Farnsworth has a game pie made with duck and pheasant that is excellent. Every meal is also served with complimentary spoon bread and pickled watermelon rind.

Hofbrauhaus in Abbottstown. I went there last Spring. The food is plentiful and tasty and authentic. The beer in the stein is German and HUGE! Very German kitsch decor.
