The only question now is----Who do the Giants play in the Super Bowl---However---Wouldn't it be interesting to see the Harbaugh Bowl--- 49er's verses The Birds

Not only did the Giants have to beat the Packers & the crowd at Lambeau, they had to survive some really bad officiating. If it weren't for a couple of blown turnover replays & a phantom roughing the passer call, the score wouldn't have been that close. That crew of refs had a very bad day.

That roughing call on the Packers' late TD drive was a joke and I got the feeling that when Troy Aikman described it as a "bad call" he perhaps wanted to use some stronger language.  But hey, it's no secret that the marquee QBs get the breaks...I would've liked to have heard Jack Lambert's reaction.

So now each championship game will feature a predominantly offensive team vs. a predominantly defensive team.  There should be some entertaining football next weekend!

Like I said 2 weeks ago, ignoring it will not make it "go away"

This is CLEARLY going to be a repeat of 2008, although this time I'm not a 100% certain whose going to win.

Since Our AZ Cardinals are out here in the Land of Retirement, we've put together a Cheerleading Dance Team that will knock your False Teeth out and cause your Pacemaker to flutter!

Greymo

Well, at least they are well dressed!

Yes.

And, unlike certain other "cheerleaders" who work inside Jerry's World in Arlington, TX, thank goodness they had the decency, decorum, and good taste to cover their cooters!

  • Congratulations to the New York Jersey Giants for overcoming the defending Super Bowl Champs, Lambeau Field, and the worst officiating I've ever seen in the playoffs.  Also, congratulations to Goober Eli Manning for finally living up to the press notices he received when he was drafted ahead of Big Ben and Phillip Rivers.

  • The #1 of the Top Ten Reasons why the SF '49-ers won't be going to the Super Bowl:  they lost at home to the Dallas Cowgirls!  (Of course that was early in the season before the Cowgirls knew that they should have been physically afraid of them).

  • Could Joe Flacco Flaccid please stop complaining about being under-rated and shave?  The Greatest Act of God this season didn't involve Tebow; it was the Ravens beating the Steelers at Heinz Field!

  • I hereby apologize to the NE Pats for calling them the Beantown Sieves.  It looks like they will be the Super Bowl Champs!

I was referring to "displays" such as this:

What does a pretty girl have to do with turtles?

(Ahem)...

If we look at the etymology of "cooter", we find:

"cooter: name for some types of freshwater terrapin in southern U.S., 1835 (first attested 1827 in phrase drunk as a cooter, but this probably is a colloquial form of unrelated coot), from obsolete verb coot "to copulate" (1660s), of unknown origin. The turtle is said to copulate for two weeks at a stretch".

(Uhhhhhhh...)

Doubtlessly derived from the underline portion above, in the regions of the U.S. where I have lived, that word is also a polite, endearing term for what my 10th. grade biology
teacher defined as "the primary external sexual characteristic of the female".

(For illustration, please refer to the Cowgirl Cheerleader's public pubic display above).

Heh...with that 'stache he looks like he could have a job in a branch of the film industry where such an affliction could kill a career!

I see the "heart of her feminity", "the holiest of holies", "the place all men aspire to be" as clearly as I would see it depicted in Grey's Anatomy.  And that's looking through steamy glasses!

And I'm panting because I've run out of euphimisms.

Possibly.  But I doubt it.  We'll have to discuss this one day over a burger at Waffle House.

Try (and wish) as I might I can't see the Fu-Manchu-ed Baltimore whine-boy Joe Flaccid "leading" the Ravens to anything but defeat against Brady and the Pats, especially in light of the way Ed Reed limped off the field last week.

I would really like to see the Ravens win, especially as this is probably Reed's and Ray Lewis' "last rodeo".

Insert any team name, and you'll have that. We all are obnoxious when our team wins, especially when it's against an arch-rival. Or in the case of a team who hasn't gotten close for a large number of years.

I was about to say the same thing...that's why fan is an abreviation of fanatic...we all are that way when we feel passion for a team!!!

Wow, this thread has gone almost dead silent over the past week

I thought it was kind of interesting that everyone was mentioning their hypothetical  scernario while ignoring the obvious.....

First Super Bowl rematch in a long time...off the top of my head I want to say the last one was the Steelers and Cowboys in the mid '90s.

I hear the Giants just signed David Tyree to a 1-game contract.

Did anyone actually expect the 49ers to win? Against the New York Giants?

Of course not.
