What more can you ask for...two good games where the winner was determined until the final minute!

Did anyone actually expect the 49ers to win? Against the New York Giants?

Of course not.

That's right!!!!

Well, it certainly feels great to be a GIANTS fan today,,,,,,,,,,,and I will not have to endure looking at those purple flags flying on every car on the highway in the next two weeks.

This is an entertaining article about being the wife of a kicker. It is about Amanda Tynes the wife of Giants kicker Lawrence Tynes.

And speaking about families, how about Tom Brady's:

Gotta hand it to Tom; for a sixth round pick he is indeed a fortunate lad!

WHY - Did they ever change the timing of the PRO BOWL??

They way it is now, no players from the pats or giants will be playing.

It's not a PRO BOWL if you keep the top teams players from playing.

Go to a schedule like Baseball, Basketball or Hockey

Put the All Star game in the middle of the season that way everyone can play.

AND DONT ADD STUPID RULES FOR THAT GAME ONLY!!!!!

They could do away with the Pro Bowl game for all I care. I never watch it and it is a meaningless game.

Yes, sad but true.

Back in the day when TV stations "signed off" with the National Anthem at 12 PM a nationally televised game was a true rarity.  So, the All-Star Game and the Pro Bowl were "big deals" and a rare chance to see players you had only read about.  Now, the slam dunk contest and the Home Run Derby draw audiences as large or larger as the games themselves. Satellite, Cable, and present-day pay has made such games - played to benefit the players' pension funds - obselete.

When I was a kid the annual game between the College All-Stars and the NFL Champs was "must see TV".  Now, because of the high dollar contracts and the potential for injury that very entertaining game no longer exists.

Well, I just learned that there's a Patriots connection at Ohio State, and it's not one of which I, a Giants fan, approve. It seems the assistant Ohio State women's lacrosse coach is Bill Belichick's daughter.

If Greymo is listening: Tell your granddaughter to wait till they get a new assistant coach before she commits to OSU --unless, of course, the Giants clobber the Patriots in the Super Bowl.

They sure did!  My friend in Green Bay is the first to admit it and she is rooting for the Giants.  She says that they are going to serve pizza and Nathan's hot dogs.

The best teams this year were the Packers and the Steelers.  But, as luck - good and bad - and injuries are part of the game we end up with a seven game loser against a team with no defense.

Even if that snaggle-tooothed harpy with the fake Brit accent has a halftime wardrobe malfunction who would care?

My only hope is for some entertaining commercials.

BTW:  how does a hick town with only 4,000 hotel rooms get to host a Super Bowl?

The NFL should move "Jerry-World" from Arlington, TX to Vegas (where it would fit right in with the tastelessness) and make it the permanent home of the Super Bowl.

Yeah, Vegas Bay-Bee!  Now that would be a party worth going to.

Thanks.  I needed that.

You are right, the thought of a Yankees-Rangers ALCS does cheer me up.

And, come to think of it a few more Giants' "helmet catches" would go a long way toward slapping that swarmy, surly, condescending smirk off Belichek's face.  Yeah, yeah ... I see it now ... nice visual ...  so I'll root for the seven game losers the lucky the MIGHTY Jersey Jints!

YES!  Nothing will wipe a smirk quicker than losing to seven game losers!

Hey, the Yankees have won the world series after a losing season of 7 games...so anything can happen in sports..didn't the Giants, a few weeks ago,  humiliate the almost undefeated Packers....oh and how about their last Superbowl against the Undefeated Patriots...it's the BEST team left standing in sports....simple concept!!!!!!!

That "hick town" hosts the world's largest single day attendance sporting event every year and has been doing so for over a hundred years. They'll handle it just fine.

Indianapolis has also hosted 5 NCAA Basketball Final Fours.  And, as opposed to people in Texas (Dallas, specifically), they can provide the correct number of seats.

Most Super Bowl attendees don't stay in their cars, campers, tents, or RV's.  Just saying.

With a skyline rivalling Wilmington, Delaware's, Indy wouldn't even be in the NFL if it weren't for revenue sharing and its gullable taxpayers.

And didn't I see Irsay in the cast of Boardwalk Empire a few weeks ago?

His agent better keep Andrew Luck away from sharp objects.

And what kind of partying does one get done "based" out of a Motel 6 in Dayton, OH?  Yee Haw!!!
