OK, OK, I just got back from Winnipeg where the sports pages were dominated by hockey and curling. So, I've avoided the hype until today.

Little old Knoxville has some ownership with the Steelers.  Jim Haslam who owns Pilot Oil bought a minority ownership with the Steelers just a few months before they won the 2009 Super Bowl.  Now they are in their second chance.  I love Wisconsin but I have to be for the Steelers as Haslam is sorta my neighbor as he lives directly across the lake from me.

As long as we are talking smack ...

The REAL Super Bowl XLV was held three weeks ago in Pittsburgh when the Steelers took their rubber match from the Ravens.

I hope that today's exhibition against Green Bay will not result in any career-threatening injuries for any of the Pack.

Paul - That rumble you just felt was not the New Madrid fault shifting.
Picking the fat cat owner over UT's greatest player - bad move. When you urinate on Reggie White's grave, bad things can happen.

Super Bowl XVL Commercials. In a word, TERRIBLE! Most were pathetic, none were memorable. The worst collection ever, especially the Doritos Garbage. The ETrade Babys were the only saving grace in the bunch. They should have donated the Millions they cost to a Charity.

Christina Aguilera--- What a piece of C***! Her rendition on our National Anthem was a disgrace including her singing the wrong words. Where is Rosanne Barr when you need her?
We need to pass a Law:
"A law recently passed in the Lower House of the Philippines Congress has made those who sing the country's national anthem off-key or irregularly liable to a $2,000 fine and potential jail time. TIME looks at 10 American performers who are lucky no such law exists on the books in Washington."

Yes.  I did.

When our little Cristina (Cristina Aguilera was born and raised in Pittsburgh) choked on the National Anthem I knew we were doomed!  Here's a video of her at 11 doing a far better job of it before a Penguins game (she starts 60 seconds into the clip):

I agree, especially about Doritos and their "man-finger-sucking" garbage.  Maybe their sales will go up in San Francisco if that city hasn't already outlawed them as being unhealthy.

The one ad that was truly excellent was Emenem's "Detroit" ad for Chrysler.  When our two Lexus leases expire, maybe it's time for some Caddies!

I agree that a large majority of the commercials sucked, but the Volkswagen one with the kid in the Darth Vader costume sure was cute!

And why were they dressed like they escaped from the set of a Tron movie?
Have to agree that this was the worst year for commercials that I can remember.

I like the Black Eyed Peas a  lot  but their program wasn't as "high energy" as they promised. Didn't watch any of the game, only half time.

To many pierogies on the table before the final game was the Steelers demise.

Me, I liked the KIA Optima spot the best.

And isn't it time the NFL dropped the pretenous Roman numeral suffix on the Super Bowl...Super Bowl 2012 makes a lot more sense.
Now on to the draft!
