I've wondered about 'The Sex Monster' before but mostly because I thought 'The Upside of Anger' was so good. improviser that is pretty cool. :)

Lost Horizon is a great movie. One of my favorites, and definitely my favorite Frank Capra movie. I like it even more than It's A Wonderful Life or It Happened One Night.

You may also like the following link. http://www.vorleser.net/ The complete program, for free, but only in german language, I use their stuff as a "sandman", preferring the works of Poe and Shelley..., to sorry, on the above site the works of H.P. Lovecraft are not included, yet... Michael

One line from Lost Horizon ruins it for me. I believe it was the High Lama explaining to the newcomers about their utopian society with no war, no hunger, no violence, health care, schooling, etc.... and then he mentions, as an "Oh, by the way", we have an inexhaustible supply of gold to pay for everything. Well, duh.

Moin Extreme Glow! The Wikipedia says 132 minutes, the Google-Video version is 127 minutes, so what is missing in the online-version? Nevertheless Lost Horizon is one of the greatest classic fantasy movies, I saw this movie for the first time as a little boy in the early 1960s, in our local village cinema, and I learned to love this kind of classic movies, just great entertainment, ageless! Kind regards from Germany Michael

Michael I love the Mercury Theatre. I'm a huge Orson Welles fan. I wish that radio theatre was still as popular as it once was.

Nancypalooza http://www.egyptiantheatre.com/mastercalendar.htm 'Lost Horizon' is being shown in LA in a series of so-bad-they're-good movies in the middle of August. I've never seen it but now my curiosity is piqued. That's the 1973 musical version, not the Capra original. The musical version is supposed to be pretty awful. The Capra original doesn't have any songs. You should check it out.

IMDB says that the original release was 132 minutes. The Columbia Classics DVD release is 134 minutes. TCM lists several run times. http://www.tcm.com:80/tcmdb/title.jsp?stid=3770 EG

Just finished watching Star Wars III & then Star Wars IV with my 9 & 5 year old grandsons. Our entire family is crazy about Star Wars & this the 5 year old's first time to watch Star Wars III. His big cousin(9 years old) spent about 20 minutes explaining how Anakin became Darth Vadar & what happened to Obi-Wan, Luke & Leia between movies III & IV. Then we watched Star Wars IV. Although, I was disappointed the movies I, II, & III- it was really powerful to watch movies III & IV together. Also, it was great just to watch the faces of my grandsons & listen to their Star Wars convesations.
