If any of you will be in or around Huntsville, AL, this weekend please make sure to visit the WhistleStop Festival. Not only is it a barbeque cookoff but also lots of fun and entertainment. I go every year and have a great time. This Friday will be two bands: one called The Beach Toys (a Beach Boy Tribute Band) and the other Live Bait(a Jimmy Buffet Tribute Band). Both I'm sure will have some rocking music. Tracy Byrd will be there Sat. night.
You can't buy any of the food from the cookoff but there will be several food vendors selling barbeque. You can walk thru the cookoff section and check out what they are cooking and talk freely with the competitors.
The times are Friday from 4-11 and Saturday 10 a.m. until 11 p.m. and the cost is $15 a day at the gate and children under 9 free with parent.
Bring you own chair, find a great location to park it, and enjoy the music and food. I know I will.
