In Houston the best hot dogs I've seen at at the origional James's Coney Islander downtown. The rest of the stores are good but downtown has always been the best. The onion are cut so fine that they remind me of powdered snow and the chilli is spectacular. If you are around Houston you know what I mean!

For history on the Houston hot dog joint you might wanna see:
    http://www.jamesconeyisland.com/history.htm

Two Greek brothers opened a hot dog stand in Houston in 1923. They were from Kastelli Gravias, Greece. They moved to New York in 1900's and moved to Houston.

I still wish a dog cost a nickel.

In Mexico you can get a good dog in a hot dog stand with sausage type stuffed with cheese, wrapped in bacon and served with diced onions and tomatoes for under a buck.

Any way you picture it.... I'll have a dog any day....a picnic is not a picic without a few dogs....frankfurters. etc.
